No doubt. I couldn't help taking a shot at Izzo!
-
With all due respect, I prefer not to have another Izzo assistant. His last recommendation couldn't get us to the Final Four.
-
Yep. Dude won a national championship in Evansville.
-
Wasn't implying you wanted Bennet over Donovan. Just stating Donovan would be my choice. We really don't know if Sean, Bennet or others mentioned are coming. That's why I said, hypothetically. CTC's name, IIRC, wasn't bandied about before he came. Again, I don't follow UVA basketball. I've seen small portions of some of their games. Has he been to a Final Four?
-
I know all of that. That was in H.S. Bruh. He's good, but I don't think most coaches lose sleep over him coming to town. Additionally, you need more than that to go deep in the tournament consistently. I agree though, it's been such a long drought for IU going deep in the tourney, I'd like to see this thing turned around sooner rather than later. Like I said in my initial post, I would definitely take Guy. I just believe you need many more high talent players to maximize your chances of going deep in the tournament and Bennet doesn't strike me as one that would recruit well enough to do that because of his style of play.
-
I like Guy and would certainly take him on my team, to me he's talented, but not highly talented. Has Bennet been to the Final Four? I would prefer Donovan.
-
Yep. His defense is excellent, but highly talented players don't want to play in his offense.
-
Yep. In most cases, you have to have top talent if you want to win the NCAA championship. If you have that and strong coaching every year, you can do some damage in the tournament. Not all the time, see Duke, but more than what we've seen at IU lately.
-
Glad you saw some good IU basketball, even if it wasn't live.
-
Both Grahams were good. Too bad Pat was often hurt!
-
Very and could really handle the ball. Fortunately I was not guarding him! Lol! Wittman didn't miss a shot! I was hoping we could get Sean Miller as our coach. After Brad and Billy of course. Doesn't seem like he's interested. Saw his Xavier team beat IU during EJ's Year at IU.
-
Wittman and Isaiah. I wasn't even close to their level of play.
-
Yep. I played with some of Knight's players up there. Those dudes could play. Don't want to derail the thread too much. Can't believe IU won't play a home game in the NIT!
-
I used to love playing up there.
-
Maybe we don't have a new coach because very few want to work for Fred Glass.

The battle for Jordan Tucker! Lol! -
That is sad, that AH is not available.
-
If Glass retains Crean, he should be fired. Glass never should have given Crean that ridiculously large buyout. We have to watch another NCAA Selection Sunday show and not hear IU's name called! Not good!

Absolutely!

Why is Louisville the only out of state city to give IU coverage?

Indeed. Chicagoans love their pro sports. Never understood their love for Notre Dame. -
Well, he hurt us in the Final Four with the Cheaney team when he was making three point shots. Don't know much about his coaching abilities. (Hurley)
-
Indeed!

Sean Miller would be fine with me.
