You should probably add, that he has also cleaned up his act, and hasn't been in any trouble since..

Personally, I wouldn't mind. I like Coach Wilson. I just don't think it will go that far.

Part of me agrees, but I don't don't see him getting two more seasons. Unless you are counting this season as number 1. If so, I agree with you. I think next year is his make or break. He will either be here for a good long time, or he will be done at the end of the 2015.

It was a great year to be a Senior!! :)

The futility builds and builds. BGSU was a shock, then it was followed with the upset of Missouri. So not much of a chance to build up angst. In the last two weeks, we lost the 1st and 2nd Team QB, lost two games by large margins, have shown that our offense is now going to be as bad as the defense; thereby cementing in everyone's minds that it will take divine intervention for us to even finish with the same record as last year. I can understand why the thread is coming out now. The reality of the season has hit home.

Upset we lost. Heck no. I even predicted a blow out. But that doesn't mean I am not disgusted by the absolute lack of defense in the 2nd half. The way the season looks like it might turn out, we appear to be on track for a significantly worse record than last year. We can possibly get to 5 wins, but that is going to depend on beating Michigan (never easy for us in the Big House) and beating Purdue. Purdue is looking a lot better than last year, so that may be a tall order. That being said. I'm still not ready to give up on Coach Wilson. He came into a crap storm with an awful program, and I do believe is slowly but surely turning things around.

All of us want IU to succeed on the Field, Court, and in the Classroom. Like many I get tired of all the negativity, but let's be honest there hasn't been a whole lot to be positive about on the football field and on the basketball court, for a long time. Personally, I think Coach Wilson, gets next year, to prove he can have a winning season, and I think Coach Crean gets this season to show something. I am hoping like hell that both succeed.

For me it is not at all about being competitive. I want good basketball, and I want an NCAA championship.

Should we really care about players being "Creaned"?

I don't disagree with you about kids getting better I do think that is part of the game, and more than likely every single coach has had the discussion with players that they are not ____ (You fill in the blank) and it is time to move on. For me I cannot separate the oversigning from the creaning. we know right now (over a year before the next season) that Coach is going to have to have the discussion with two players that it is time to move on. So that means that even if every kid develops the way they are supposed to, and works as hard as they are supposed to, and is as good a student as they are supposed to be. They are gone. I just don't like that. We give UK a ton of crap for "renting players" for a year, before they go the NBA. I don't see much difference in that vs oversigning, with the exception that we are going after the recruiting scraps instead of the recruiting prime rib. There is an old saying that "Perception is reality" in this case the perception of Tom Crean is that he chases the next shiny thing in regards to recruits, and he is more than willing to extend a scholarship (that he doesn't even have) when no other coach thinks a player is worthy. Sometimes it works out (Victor being the most shining example) but more often than not it does not. -
I use one frequently when hunting. I simply attach it to my tree stand with a clamp. I've also used one when diving, For diving I have a "stick" for it. I think it is called the GoScope. This also works really well if you don't want the head or chest mount. I've got a friend that uses it a lot for mountain biking, and he bought the bike mount.

What extra scholarships?? Coach has shown that he almost never has any extra scholarships, and in fact has the opposite problem, hence the term "creaning" -

If this is the plan working itself, then I would say we have bigger problems. -

Well we really won't know if anything is being blown out of proportion until the season is over, but pre-season rankings predict IU to finish 8 - 10th in the B1G. Certainly the experts aren't predicting this team to do anything special. When, supposedly, one of the best names in college basketball is signing kids that have been overlooked by every other major program, it tells me that something is wrong with recruiting, and we are using the oversign to do so. I agree that the trend in college basketball is to have a lot of transfers, but Coach Crean is not consistently using the oversign to make sure there is room for a young man that will probably be a star. He is using the oversign on kids that will play at best a minor role. You need those role players, but to me the negative connotation outweighs any positives that are coming. -
I think I had better go back and adjust my score for this game.

I am glad the University is stepping up, and giving the kids a choice to stay at IU, or go elsewhere. That being said: I think the annual use of the oversign is a bad thing. It certainly hasn't helped in building a balanced team, and quite frankly the last couple of recruiting classes, I don't think it has done anything to bring better players into the fold either. -
He had a pass this season no matter what. IU was not going to make a change after this year. This is the year that determines how warm his seat is next year.

Won't matter. Coleman is a beast, but with our Defensive problems we win at the most two more. I see possibly Michigan, and Purdue. I guess my pessimism just won out.

Prediction League Game Numero Seis...IU vs Iowa (10/11/14)

I really have no clue how to pick this one. I think it depends upon which IU team shows up. Normally by this point I have an idea as to how the season is going to go. Right now, still have no clue. IU 35 IA 28 -
I would not want to be an odds maker in Vegas with the responsibility of putting odds on IU. The team is schizophrenic.

It is just sad, that we are considered to be under the radar and a dark horse to make the tournament. Now if they were talking a dark horse to make a final four.....

Worst process I have ever seen. On one of the apps I have published. Apple even came back after the third update, and would not approve it, because they said I needed to change the rating...
