Sept. 5 - Southern Illinois Salukis: W Sept. 12 - FIU Golden Panthers: W Sept. 19 - Western Kentucky Hilltoppers: W Sept. 26 - at Wake Forest Demon Deacons: L Oct. 3 - Ohio State Buckeyes: L Oct. 10 - at Penn State Nittany: L Oct. 17 - Rutgers Scarlet Knights: W Oct. 24 - at Michigan State Spartans: L Nov. 7 - Iowa Hawkeyes: L Nov. 14 - Michigan Wolverines: W Nov. 21 - at Maryland Terrapins: L Nov. 28 - at Purdue Boilermakers: W I think we go 6 - 6 I think we lose one of the non conference. I simply chose Wake Forest because it was the last game. I think we win 3 B1G games, but not sure if it will be Iowa, Michigan or Maryland. I chose Michigan because I really want to beat them. The reality of it is once again it is IU. I could see us going anywhere from 4 - 8 to 10 -2 I think the only ones we don't stand a chance with are OSU and MSU. I hope to heck we do not finish below 6 - 6 though, because I think it will mean the end of Wilson. I like him, and hope he can string together some wins. I think the Rutgers game is the key to B1G season. Get a win and we are on the right track. I don't think we recover from 0 - 3 in conference.

If he has just joined the team, it doesn't say much for anyone else, if he is actually able to play tonight. That would mean that a young man just off an injury and only practicing for a week or so, is better able to play basketball than the guys Crean has already given a scholarship.

IU Football 2015 Recruiting Class
jmsgws replied to ccgeneral's topic in Indiana Football Recruiting Forum
Recruiting rankings are really just guesses, but they are an indicator of a program's strength. Natty, brought up the 2/47 rankings as having us 9th in the B1G. ESPN says we are 6th in the conference, Rivals has us 7th, Scout is the outlier, and they have us as 13th WTF!! So I think all 2/47 did was let the other services do the work, and take the average!! -
Didn't we lose out on a big from Bedford North Lawrence? I thought I remembered seeing where she decided to go elsewhere. Or was that this years recruiting class?

IU Football 2015 Recruiting Class

I would say we are getting a pretty good return on our investment. I don't follow a lot of the specifics in regards to recruiting, but do look periodically at how the services rank us in the B1G. All but Scout have us in the upper half of the conference. That is pretty good IMO. -
I don't consider myself a Crean "Hater" I also don't think Crean is ever going to bring a championship back to Bloomington.

Has nothing to do with being holier than thou. I think almost all fans wanted harsher punishments against the kids who got in trouble. There is a big difference however, because those kids were already on the team. In the Lyle case, the feeling is to not bring in someone who has demonstrated multiple times they are problems.

Who this team is and where they're going
jmsgws replied to Magnanimous's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
I think that is my biggest frustration. I would not be as upset about this year, if I saw something that made me think we have something different coming down the road. I don't see anything coming that says the results in two years are going to be any different than the results from this year. We definitely have the pieces, but we do not have a team. Last night we saw what a team can do when they play together. -
The Village Deli burned down today. :(
-
Sorry I had heard it was a total loss.

Just bought tickets for my son and I for the game on 3 Feb. Anyone else going?
-
What I like is there was two years of consistent improvement. Wilson should take a little heat for having to rely on what was essentially a 5th or 6th string quarterback, but only a little. Going into the season no one thought we would have to rely on Zander to carry the load. Now if we don't see improvement again next year. I will be right there with you..

There is no likely about it. We do hold the title for futility. We grabbed that from Northwestern two or three years ago, and have never looked back. :(

Just a BIg A$$ lake trout. He tipped the scales at 17.5 pounds!

Just got back from my annual ice fishing trip on the border of MN and Canada. First day we limited out on Lake Trout, but had to hike back through the snow almost 2 miles to get to the lake. Thank God for snowshoes...

Unless he suddenly grows to about 6' 10" I don't see the point of adding another player.

Guys after this bad loss last night, just remember...
jmsgws replied to DawgBawls's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
A let down is one thing. A total collapse is something different. A few years ago, when we had almost zero B1G talent on our roster, those kind of losses didn't bother me. Now it is a different story. -
At this stage in the game neither is HMP; so you might as well go with the guy that is putting forth some effort.

After a night's sleep I have come to the conclusion that: Sometimes I think we fans make way to much out of one game. Sure the team looked like crap last night, but just as they were not as good as we build them up after a win, they are not as bad after a loss. The most troubling aspect to me was something that we have all talked about, and that is rebounding and lack of an inside game. Nothing surprising, there. The only surprising aspect was how bad we shot the ball. Hopefully there will not be any more games like that the rest of the year.

That was one of the ugliest basketball games I have seen in years
-
Wow. Iowa has decided to not show up today!
-
The B1G showed up strong today. It feels good to NOT have an SEC team in the last game!
-
I am no better a football coach than basketball, but how do you not have a return guy back there?
-
I almost turned the game off. Glad I gave it a couple of more minutes! This has been a great day of college football. I only saw one bad game, and since it was FSU that got beat.... :)
