Laettner was one of the players that you hated because he was on another team, but would have loved him if he was on yours. He was arguably one of the cockiest players ever, but could back it up on the court.

Except the Shockers actually play defense..

Purdoo-doo versus the Cheatin' Stinkin" UK Cayuts: Who Ya Rooting For?
jmsgws replied to Stuhoo's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
Chronic Hoosier @ChronicHoosier 36s36 seconds ago Satan? RT @pokereleran: @ChronicHoosier who do we root for if PU v UK? I guess I'll have to root for Purdue, but I'll be violently ill the whole time. -
Are we good enough? Yes... Do we deserve it? That is another question entirely. These lines from an Indy Star article tell me the Hoosiers should not be in: "We played desperate the last 3-4 minutes, to try and come back," junior guard Yogi Ferrell said Friday night. "We feel like we can play like that for the whole 40 minutes." The way they played the last 6 weeks, tell me the Hoosiers should be on the sideline. Playing hard for 4 minutes at the end of a game just doesn't cut it.

Wasn't Dakich just ripping the IU fans last week? I like Dan, but at this point he is more an entertainer than IU guy. Whatever will get him more ratings.

Why is Booing considered awful?

I agree with all but your 2nd sentence. Especially when it is happening, they do not know that. -

I have no problem booing professionals. These guys are not professionals. I think being silent is more than enough to show your displeasure for bad play for college players. -
Dan learned from the best!

I'm traumatized by what you said and the way you said it. I want an apology!

Well WHY THE F$*#( are they not going to the football games either? :)

I guess I would not call that ugly. Ugly was what I saw on the court.

We are looking at it from a fan perspective, and only one sport perspective. As long as the money keeps coming into the University, and no one steps on their D#*cks, then even waiting one more year, he is no trouble with the administration. I know for a fact that McRobbie and the trustees really like Mr Glass.
-
Can you expand? I guess I don't see it getting ugly other than on the message boards, and not sure how it can get much uglier. Worst case scenario is he is here another year, and the apathy continues, or he wins, and everyone is HAPPY HAPPY HAPPY.

He has to the interview for PR. Saying no comment simply stirs up the pot more. What Glass is saying actually says an awful lot. It says he is looking at all options, but that Crean is no immediate danger of losing his job. He has to say that. He also says he will be looking at everything once the season is over. Sure that is reading between the lines, but just re-read what he has to say about the buyout. He comes out front and says the buyout will not keep IU from making a change. Now Fred might think that the span of Crean's career is better than the last two years. (I would disagree, but I'm not the AD.) But I think if we flame out the way we appear to be flaming out, then there will be a change relatively quickly at the helm of the IU BB program.

A because outside of us, everyone else will still remember that UK was the last undefeated National Champion. No matter what the NCAA would do.

Not say crean is bad coach just questioning some of his choice
jmsgws replied to Hoosiers High Life's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
In how long? What Big is on the Radar for 2015? None that I am am aware of . So now you are looking two years down the pike, and there are not that many Big guys that make an impact their freshman year. So now we are out three years. Out of all the beefs with Coach Crean being able to build a team is IMO the biggest one. -
Not say crean is bad coach just questioning some of his choice
jmsgws replied to Hoosiers High Life's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
I like Fred Glass, I think he has done a really good job with IU athletics as a whole. but I believe you are mistaken on the Crean extension. Crean was not even close to needing an extension on his contract. He had a nine year contract before Glass even started. I do think the extension was a mistake, I think he did get caught up in the bright lights of some success, and it caused him to make a mistake on the new contract. -

I don't know if he listens to his voice mails, but I had the chance to talk to him when IU played the Badgers earlier this month. I found him to genuinely care what people think. He took almost 15 minutes before the game to talk to me about IU athletics. -

Big Ten Tournament - Can Indiana get a Double Bye?
jmsgws replied to IU Hoosier41's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
While mathematically it is still possible to get the double bye. I would say it is highly unlikely. Crapping our pants against Purdue cost us that opportunity. I don't think it makes any difference anyway. We should be in the tourney as an 8 or 9 seed unless we totally blow the last few games. Only way I see that seeding number changing much is if we run the table, including the B1G tourney. -
I say that and the fact that we won't have a home game for what another month and a half?? 3 -3 is good.
-
Sorry I don't buy that. Glass has always said what he has needed to say. If the team does not make the NCAA tournament this year, then I think we have a new coach.

The fish we were looking for are not all this big, but this one weighed in at 212 pounds.

Spent the weekend watching the Winnebago TV. Hoping to spear a sturgeon. The only thing that makes this sport bearable are the Bloody Mary's that start flowing at 6:30 AM. I've been doing this for 15 years, and have yet to see a sturgeon that I could throw at. :)
