    IU @ Nebraska - 4pm - BTN - Game thread

Will only be able to watch the first little bit live.  But that should give me enough information as to if I should record it or not.

    Random IU FB Recruiting Info

That actually kind of sucks.   I know a lot of the rankings are based on number of kids, and our class is going to be smaller than normal, but those rankings are back to the bad old days. The one thing I do like:  most of the kids Wilson is bringing in are at least ranked now.  If I remember correctly we used to only get a handful of ranked kids, and the majority were not.
  3. Not a fraud fan, but one I could never understand.  I want a change, but I will always root for IU to win every game.
  4. I don't think Crean is that dumb.  He is still in hot water from all the other off field incidents.  If there was another, and he tried to cover up a suspension with a fake injury it would just get him in even more trouble.
  5. For how many years have we been saying this?  You could tell the first "practice" game of this year that this team was going to struggle with Turnovers and with Defesne.  Nothing changed during the pre-season, so I see no reason to think it will magically change during the B1G season.  Until  we get turnovers and defense under control we will win a little over half our games in the league and eek into the tourney poised for an early exit.

Just another reason to stay connected here, and to hell with everything else!  :)

    Pinstripe Bowl Post-Game Thread

Just got back from the game.   I sure hoped for a different result, but it was the first time I was ever able to go to an IU bowl game; (I am 50 BTW!)  I was able to take my Dad (another IU graduate) to his first bowl game.  I got to meet a man I have been chatting online with for 5 years or more.    I wouldn't trade the memories of this weekend for a million dollars.   The thing that killed me on the FG.  The ref that was directly under the upright didn't make the call, it was the ref under the other upright.  That should not have been allowed.   I liked Terry's take that it was special teams that killed us.  Special teams gave them two scores and you aren't going to win many games doing that.  I am really looking forward to next year.
  8. Two B-Town members got together to meet in person before the game. Sent from my Nexus 6 using Tapatalk
  9. I just printed off my boarding passes for tomorrow morning.  It is starting to sink in that I am actually going to watch IU play in a bowl!
  10. Those Wisconsin fans must not have watched the game last night.  UWGreenBay showed how to beat the Badgers.  Simply put some defensive pressure on them.  At one point Wisconsin was up 30 points.  By the end of the game Green Bay had cut the lead to two or three.   I think Green Bay scored something like 17 points in a row off of turnovers.
  11. Hell, We should all be happy that we can even talk about a Hoosier being drafted in the 1st round.  :)

  13. I am the same way.  I couldn't even watch for two weeks after the Rutgers debacle.
  14. Adding another TD since Duke's DB went down.   IU 52 Duke 38

    Article on Michael Cooper

Thanks for linking that.  Great read!
  16. Section 128 Row 18  30 yard line seats  On the close part of the field.  I don't think we could have done any better!
  17. Just another example of how important that extra December practice can be.  Timing wise, I doubt if they make a practice, it is kind of nice to think they could work with the team before spring ball.  Even it is only for a week or two.
  18. What has people in Wisconsin reeling is that Bo had been hinting about staying on longer.  I am sure Bo and Alvarez had been talking a lot, but for the fans this came as a complete shock.
  19. I think only when the Coach has someone he wants to fill his shoes.  Unless of course there are health issues.  In Bo's case he has made it really clear he wants his Assistant to get a shot at being Head Coach.  If he waited until the end of the season to retire, Alvarez would have to do a national search, and would probably not look at the assistant.  If Alvarez is smart he will do a search anyway, but then at least Gard gets to try and show what he can do.  I think it is going to be a losing proposition, though.  The Badgers are not good this year.  So unless Gard pulls a miracle out of his butt, he will be the head coach of a losing team.

    College Bball Thread

Ryan stepping down is coming to a shock to those of us in Wisconsin. The feeling was at least he would do what he pledged and finish put the year. I won't miss the stranglehold he had on IU. But I admit. I was looking forward to watching him coach a couple of more games this year. Sent from my Nexus 6 using Tapatalk
  21. Probably right.  I was thinking maybe Oakes and Howard.
  22. This may sound like a dumb question, but....  I wonder how many more All Americans we might have had, if we had finished 8-4 or 9-3 instead of 6-6.
  23. Feeney also was awarded ESPN 1st Team All American Status: http://espn.go.com/college-football/story/_/id/14356641/clemson-alabama-baylor-lead-2015-all-america-team
  24. That is one the smartest things I ever seen you say!
  25. Didn't even read your post.  :)
