Well I wouldn't go so far as saying I won't watch.... :) I thought the writers were really doing it right with Glenn. He makes it back so Maggie knows he is alive, and then he bites the dust while she is watching. I was a little ticked off when the hail of bullets came, and killed everything but Glenn.. From the opening scene you knew this was going to be one bad a$$ episode.

Those exact words leave our mouths frequently during the season!

Day two of Sturgeon Spearing is in the books, and so far with the exception of the friends, and the Bloody Mary's it has been an abysmal season. Using cameras we have been able to see plenty of sign the sturgeon had been in the area. (they make a big hole in the mud when they eat. ) Plenty of the fly larvae they feast on in the mud. Just no sturgeon. In fact after 12 hours on the ice, we have seen exactly 3 minnows, 2 shad, 1 northern drum. It seems like we set up on the Saraha of the lake. Hardly any life has been visible. Oh well, most people aren't having any luck either. It is looking like the season will go a full three weekends. So I will get one more chance.

It was minus 5 when we got out on the ice this morning, but the ice houses all have a pretty good heater in them. Two years ago it was -22 with 20 MPH winds while we were spearing and we wore coats inside the ice house. Today, I sat there in my IU fleece jacket.

If it were not for the alcohol I could not do this sport. This has been my view for the last 2 hours. And I have 4 more to go. [emoji3] Sent from my Nexus 6 using Tapatalk

I always thought Priller was the human victory cigar.

I happen to agree with you, especially in regards to Crean coming back next year. He will; barring something incredible happening in the coming months. I just don't see Glass firing Crean after this season unless something incredibly bad happens. That being said, I can also see the other side as well. The old saying even a blind squirrel finds a nut once in a while comes to mind. :) What happens though if he finishes top 4 in b1g, and only makes it to the 2nd round of the NCAA's? Has he done enough then?

I am surprised almost every year by the transfers. They honestly don't make a lot of sense to me. Most of them don't have a chance of making the NBA, in which case a degree from a B1G school (at zero cost) is going to mean more to them in the long run. Of course I do understand that a 50 year old thinks a WHOLE lot differently than an 18 or 19 year old. :) and I know they are not technically transfers, but you are already counting on one (Troy) being gone. and your comments lead me tobelieve you think that JB will be gone as well. That is now 5 roster spots that will be turning over. Not insurmountable, but that leaves Hartman as the lone Senior on the team for next year, I believe.

Taking 8 years to balance the roster is just one of the things I see wrong with the picture of IU basketball. Like many things with Crean it is way to early to say if we are even there for next year, though. How many transfers will happen after the end of the season? I think many IU fans are simply getting tired of the roller coaster ride

I am with you in regards to Crean, (to me it should be winning the B1G or making the FF to bring him back) but here is where I am troubled: I don't think we will ever get the same consistency out of a team like Wisconsin, or MSU with the current coaching situation. So when or how does the Administration say enough is enough? and in the next year or two do you make a move just to make a move? The fan base seems to gell around the idea of Stevens as a coach, but no one else gets anyone excited. Personally I don't see Stevens leaving the NBA any time soon.

Well the 5 gallons will technically last us two days. We go really heavy on Saturday, and then cut way back on Sunday. :) Oshkosh is in East Central Wisconsin. About 60 miles south of Green Bay.

Not sure I remember a game that Yogi has done absolutely nothing. -

In one sense it has been nice having the refs let them play, but there have been an awful lot of bad no calls on both sides. -

WTH is Bryant doing back in the game right now. Is Crean trying to have him foul out? -

Other than Bryant's fouls we have had a good start. We are certainly playing with a lot more intensity than Iowa is right now. Hope they can keep that intensity level up! -
Spent the morning cutting in our holes for sturgeon spearing Saturday morning! Bought 5 gallons worth of Bloody Mary supplies. Got the spears sharpened. I'm all ready! [attachment=3380:IMG_20160211_084001.jpg]

I am skeptical too. I seem to remember a couple of years ago how the guys talked about how hard he practiced them up until the very end.

I guess I would say the same thing I said after the debacle that was Penn State. One game in the big scheme of things doesn't matter. You have to take the season as a whole. We have seen, over the years, that we can have a big win, and then have a major melt down. Let's just wait and see how the season plays out.

Saw an article this morning, that he owns a couple of Budweiser distributorships.
