  1. Offensive line needs to figure something out. OSU is just walking all over them.
  2. Hope they can establish a running game, but that was a good first drive.
  3. I see Wilson's method of calling offensive plays hasn't changed. It so often seems like no one has a clue what the play is supposed to be, so they burn a time out. :)
  4. Wilson's Offense vs Allen's Defense to start should be a good show!

ESPN OTL: IU's Lack of Treatment

I have mixed feelings on this article. What I got out of the article, it was more a training issue, than a coaching issue. I also say that, because while out in CA for the bowl game, I had the chance to talk with a player's mother. This particular player, was a walk on, before getting a scholarship. He also spent much of one year injured. The mother was very complimentary of the care, and more importantly the way Coach Wilson treated her son. I know that one case of bad treatment is one to many, but from my conversation what happened to the Coaches, just doesn't add up. Why in the heck would the Coach treat a walkon with more care and concern than a scholarship player? Again, I don't mean to imply that treating anyone badly is a good thing. But to me common sense says the walkons are the ones that would get the lousy treatment. They aren't expected to me major contributors.

    Never can figure Knight out

I guess I would vote for common decency. Being honest about a situation is one thing, but being an A$$hat is something different, to me. I respect people telling the truth, however, that respect is gone when they tell the truth, but treat people like dirt at the same time.

    Never can figure Knight out

The difference being that MOST people have enough common sense to NOT say things like that when there are cameras and microphones in front of you.

    Last names on jerseys?

I don't see the names as having any impact on how a young man is going to play. We have had some extremely self centered players come through IU, as well as some extremely selfless players come through IU. Would having the names on the jerseys change that? I don't think so. Everyone in Indiana seems to talk about the "Butler Way" and how much they like watching that BB team play. Do the names on their jerseys impact that? I don't think so.

Stupidest Miller Take - Crispin on BTN

The key to this idiots statement that no one understands but us: "If I don't win a championship I am not going to make it here.." Damn straight. That is the expectation. The thing that fans of other programs don't realize, is that Crean was fired for the sole reason that Fred Glass lost the confidence that Crean could bring a championship to IU. If Glass thought Crean could do it, he would still be the coach. Sure we probably talk about our banners to much, but if winning a championship isn't the expectation, why the hell do we play the game?

    Last names on jerseys?

I bet you could ask 100 fans of other programs, and the vast majority would not even know or even care if IU had the names of players on the Jerseys. When I think of all things that makes Indiana Basketball, Indiana Basketball the names on the jerseys wouldn't even make the list. There are so many things more important to the program, that I don't care one way or the other. Now the Candy Stripes, don't even think about getting rid of those!

    Welcome Coach Miller

This will be my last comment. You won't change my mind, and I won't change yours. We will just have to agree to disagree. Show me where Bozich reported anywhere that Donovan was not only in Bloomington, but was there to meet with Fred Glass to talk about the IU job... and I will happily say he did wrong as well. That is where Justin went wrong, and then treating people like dirt when he was questioned.

    Welcome Coach Miller

I am not coming down on Justin for saying it was going to be Donovan. I am coming down on Albers for starting the **** storm that Donovan was IN Bloomington and then when it was shown he was wrong he compounded the problem by going in deeper and going off on people for questioning what he said. A lot of reporters got the coach wrong but Justin went beyond that with reporting facts of Donovan being physically in Bloomington. I will quickly apologize if he can provide proof for his reporting Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Welcome Coach Miller

In this case, your source made you jump the shark. It is a tough decision, but one source, or my living? I guess I would burn the source, or find a new way to make a buck. It isn't so much the getting the info wrong, it was steadfast way he kept going, even when it was shown the source was wrong.

    Welcome Coach Miller

Then if he wants to gain any credibility back, he needs to name his source, and make an apology. In IU circles, he stepped all over himself in a big way. He probably should have double and triple checked the source, before making the type of claim he made, and then when the info started coming out about Donovan being at practice, should have either gone silent, or given up some kind of proof. I've never met Justin, and he could be a really good guy, but as a reporter........

    Welcome Coach Miller

I see no reason to back off at all. He reported this as truth, and true Trumpian fashion doubled down and tripled down multiple times. He didn't report this as a maybe, he reported it as a fact. A journalist that doesn't admit the mistake loses all credibility.

    Welcome Coach Miller

http://albersangle.com/indiana-hires-archie-miller/ I would have thought that Albers would have made his first comment one of apology for spreading the Donovan stuff yesterday!

    Welcome Coach Miller

In that case, we should fire him before he moves to Bloomington! :)

    Welcome Coach Miller

I honestly don't know. I think Miller is a good coach. I am just having a hard time reconciling making him a top ten paid coach when he hasn't gotten top ten results.

    Welcome Coach Miller

My search showed that he made about 690,000 in 2016. http://sports.usatoday.com/ncaa/salaries/mens-basketball/coach/

    Welcome Coach Miller

I would change that to say IU WAS an elite job. Miller could be great, but I see the hire as a gamble. Pedigree is no better than Crean's was 9 years ago. Granted IU is in a completely different place, though. But if IU is such an elite job, I don't think you have to hire a coach at almost 6 times his current salary.

    Search Firm

Old Friend: I agree with pretty much everything you have said here, except the part about Wisconsin hiring from within. They have done this somewhat with football, but Gard's hiring is really the only time with BB. In fact, if Ryan had stayed until the end of the season last year, Gard would probably not be the coach now. It was very close to the same way we got Mike Davis :)

Sports Illustrated Hit Piece on Indiana

Like every good story, there is a grain of truth here. Some of it is sour grapes. This has been building up for the last three years. The rollercoaster that has been Indiana BB just became to much to overcome.
