Wrigley and Notre Dame stadiums are places you need to visit once. I am sure the new Wrigley will be improved, but both Notre Dame Stadium and Wrigley are cesspools.

I like the Royals as well, just wish the pitchers had to bat. I wonder if there would be as many hit batters if the pitchers had to bat. Not having to bat can make the most yellow belly coward of a pitcher look brave.

OFFICIAL: Ferrell returns for Senior Season
PointBlank replied to IU Hoosier41's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
Agree, we need another true point guard regardless if Yogi returns or not. For the record, I do not believe Yogi is going to return. I hope I am wrong. -
Yogi Leaning towards leaving per multiple sources
PointBlank replied to BriscoeShoemaker's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
If Yogi stays, what happens to Yogi if IU finishes 4th or so in the Big Ten, and makes it to only the round of 32? Does this hurt his 2016 draft status since he will be surrounded by a very talented team and he is the team leader? Yogi and his family are in a tough situation and will have to weigh the options. Since there are and have been several 6 foot guards in the NBA, I can see him making the jump if a team has expressed a sincere interest. I feel he will excel in the NBA workouts if he decides to enter this year. He does need to learn to distribute the ball better. -
I feel without doubt the majority of IU supporters want Yogi to return for this coming season. Does anyone feel IF Yogi were to leave, is there a player out there whether juco or immediately eligible transfer who could come in and make the team better?

(2016) QB Peyton Ramsey to IU
PointBlank replied to HoosierReb01's topic in Indiana Football Recruiting Forum
I could not agree more, and Ramsey is a very good one. Now, we have to make sure they are ready to take the reigns if there is an injury. Hopefully, Wilson learned a valuable lesson from last year. -
(2015) C Stephen Zimmerman to UNLV
PointBlank replied to JSHoosier's topic in Indiana Basketball Recruiting Forum
If Zimmerman lives up to the hype, UNLV is going to be a difficult out. Davis has done an outstanding job of recruiting over the past couple of years. -
(2015) JUCO SG Mychal Mulder to UK

How tight are JBJ and Yogi? -
Should be ups and downs and growing pains with Iglesias and Desclafeni, both are green to MLB, both have a huge upside. Marquis might not be a terrible fifth starter if he can keep the ball in the park at Great American - I doubt it. Price drives me crazy, I hope he improves this year. Gregg might be gone sooner than later if another team states they knew what was coming their way.

At this time and according to the future odds, Kansas is more likely to win the NCAA title than IU and this includes IU having Bryant. It will be interesting to see how it all shakes out at the end of this recruiting period and how the odds change. For some reason, I think UK will put the full press on Bryant even though he verbaled to IU.

I was looking at the box score, what was up with all the hit batters? Three from each team.

This is Cincinnati's first true road win of the season. They beat Miami of Ohio at a neutral site at the beginning of the season. They receive zero coverage by the local press mostly because there is very little interest in the program and they have been so bad. Glad I am not a betting person, I would have laid it all on IU.
-
It would be an embarrassment to lose to the Bearcats.
-
Cincinnati is bad, very bad, they play a lot of freshmen and the coach is churning the roster. I have seen high school teams with better fundamentals than the Bearcats.

Agree, the guys on the outside have to do a much better job of stopping their man. If the guys on the outside play defense like they did last year, even Bryant will look as if his head is on a swivel.

To Crean's credit he has been recruiting PFs and Centers in each class. Last year he recruited 3 PFs and a 7' center. 2011 is the only year he didn't recruit a center but he had Cody in the fold. Problem has been the development of the big men and Crean keeping them on campus.

2015 Transfers and Early Entries
PointBlank replied to WayneFleekHoosier's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
One has to go and I hope it is a mutual decision and parting of the ways. -
I agree for a different reason, it appears as if Crean would rather play smaller with only one big a lot of times. Two true big men appear to not work in his offense as well as the smaller lineup. HMP only averaged around 19 minutes per game last year.

Decker as always is a main key to a Wisconsin win. It will be interesting to see how hard Coach K works the refs when Decker initiates the contact by placing his off shoulder and forearm into the defensive player. He is a master at the move which results in him pushing off of the defensive player and knocking the defensive player off balance. Do it until they call it a couple of times.

Apples and oranges comparing Zeller and Bryant. Bryant couldn't carry Zeller's jock strap if they played at the same time. Zeller was a much more polished and complete player than Bryant. With the exception of Zeller, how has Crean noticeably developed any other IU center offensively? Some would argue even Zeller didn't progress as much offensively under Crean's system as expected.
-
I didn't say I didn't want him, I am not convinced he is going to immediately provide a missing piece.
-
Is Bryant really a difference maker for IU? I am not too sure if he will see much of the ball offensively unless he has a stick back. Is he a vast improvement over an experienced HMP? Last year HMP only averaged 4 shots per game and how many of those were a result of his own offensive rebound? In my opinion, Yogi as the PG still does not include his teammates enough and the man down low is not a priority to him. Vonleh averaged 7 shots per game. Zeller naturally averaged more shots, but Yogi wasn't in control as much and Zeller had a much better supporting cast. Bryant is a consensus 4 star (very good) but I do not see him as the missing piece to get us further. He looked ordinary in the McDonalds game and looked good against a team not comprised entirely of McDonald players. Defense at the major college level is one of the hardest things for a player to comprehend and get right. Thon Maker is a different story if he were to come to IU and if they get him the ball.
-
He is another one of the coaches from a smaller school I feel will do well at the larger program. He was already recruiting well at VCU and landing some 4 star talent. He should be able to increase his recruiting prowess with the abundant resources he will have at his disposal at UT and by utilizing the B12. It will be which private jet does he want to take on a recruiting trip. His teams have put up points on the board as well over the past three years.

Yogi debating about entering the NBA Draft
PointBlank replied to Trish's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
I was thinking along the same line, I saw one 2015 mock draft and it projected Yogi going in the second round, a couple of 2016 mock drafts did not list Yogi in the first round. So if you are going to be selected in the second round might as well be in 2015. Not too sure how much reliance a person should put in the mock drafts, but like just about everyone else I figure those guys know a lot more than I do. -
Wasn't Marquette already recruiting Wade before Crean's arrival?
