I should probably let this subject pass. But when I saw Hanner was reinstated I was shocked and disappointed. A similar situation occurred a few years ago with someone I knew. The University took swift, concise actions and I felt (even though the result was not favorable for person I knew) the actions were just. I was proud of IU. Is there a double standard for athletes and non-athletes at Indiana? Before, I would have said no. Now I am not so sure. Is it the University or Crean? There must be many students who face the "offices of the courts" in their misadventures who do not get to keep on with their privileges at IU. I consider it an honor for players to take the court for our team. Now I do not know what actions are being taken. However, after suffering through the Samson era, I surely do not want IU to suffer another blow. All I am asking for equal punishment for the same infractions for every student. Regardless of whether or not they are athletic.
