Also, I'm sure DG kept his mouth shut for years, then went to a high school football player and said "I have a huge secret for you". So ridiculous. Just kids looking for attention, and by kids, I don't mean DG. It's the coat tail people who are looking for attention through this situation. -

Good lord - just this morning we said it was IU because he made his mind up 2 weeks ago. Let's let this kid make his own decision. IU is not out of this race. -

Peegs has a pretty big base. They're seasoned; they were first in. Alex Bozich started a good thing at insidethehall, but Justin Albers gave them a big black eye and they lost a lot of members with his immature and premature guessing games. I like btownbanners a lot and used to be members of both of the paid premium forums. Yes, the content on here is nearly identical and it's free, but it's unfair to take jabs at Peegs for what they do. Rabjohns is awesome - very kind, appears to be a very good person, loves IU and is accurate almost all the time. Also, if you look at all these posts...many are going to Peegs to hear what MP and JR are saying, then relaying it on this board. There's nothing to dislike about those guys IMHO. Oh yeah, and let's get us some Garland! :) -

This doesn't even make sense. Everything is top secret one minute and the next we hear about him fantasizing about others going to Vandy with him?? EIther this is an intentional diversion or he's made up his mind. Seems intentional to me, but I probably have my IU goggles on again. -

Is Archie going to visit DG one more time? Can't remember if I read that or not. -

I see on Peegs that Evan Daniels put a note in about DGarland. Anyone willing to share what insight was relayed from Mr. Daniels? -

Classic Albers not understanding boundaries or timing. This kid didn't schedule an announcement so some hack of a journalist could steal his thunder. Then again, Albers probably jumped the gun like he always does. -
Yes, yes he is.

Anyone who knows anything about Albers will ignore his pot stirring posts. He's wrong 2x more than he's right and his plagiaristic "journalism" already has a dark reputation following it. Yogi's going to do what's best for Yogi. -

You don't schedule an announcement to stay in college....just sayin' -
Let me get some pre-post facts out of the way. 1. I do not like John Calipari. 2. I do not like the type of players he recruits (for the most part). 3. I would not want them at IU (for the most part). 4. My hatred for UK runs deep. In all honesty, I love the Harrison twins. No idea what they're doing in Lexington. Everyone else with a good head on their shoulders already transferred. Well, except the kids that couldn't make grades and headed for the NBA. I'm sure Nerlens Noel would have been an academic all american had he not gone pro! Jab, jab, jab. I feel better. Now that you know I'm impartial, here are a few thoughts that run through my mind, yet continuously slip the minds of all commentators, the selection committee, and everyone else gushing about the team of compensated D-Leaguers in Lexington: What if Kentucky played in an actual competitive basketball conference, and played competition beyond November? For example, what if they had to play at IU/MSU/Wisky/Iowa/OSU/Maryland/UM each year? I know, playing at Alabama and at Auburn is quite a task. Or someone as tough as Arkansas or Vanderbilt! WHOA! So, what if they had to play a B1G conference schedule instead of a weak SEC in a down year? OK, forget the B1G bias. What if they had to play at Louisville/Duke/UNC/ND/Virginia, and then again take on all 5 at home? No way, and I mean NO way UK is undefeated if they weren't practicing against joke teams in the SEC for the last 3 months. UK is great. They're stacked. But seriously - they haven't played anyone since conference play started. I hope ND, WSU or KS (or, in a dream world, IU) crushes their little cheating hearts in the regional bracket. Heck, I hope the boilers step on their throats. Hard.
-
A loss would matter (to me) as it pertains to being undefeated and them being the team everyone talks about going forward. Not the 1976 IU team. Plus, UK and their fans relentless reminders of BBN...in general.

Ha...yes, win - not loss. Thanks biteoftheapple.

In a weird way, I think Hanner’s injury may have bought Crean another year of safety. Sort of a “We lost Hanner. Can't win without a center." situation. Hartman is not a center. Heck, he hustles, which is more than most of our guys, but we need more than hustle. This is the most disappointing loss win I have ever watched.
-
Quit complaining. Do you know how many DEFLECTIONS we have!!!!!!! It's unbelievable. Who cares about wins when you have deflections.
-
16 point lead now gone. Same old story, every stinking game. How is there any loyalty left to Tom Crean? I'm not a hater, but seriously...it's getting very old.

IU vs. EWU Game Thread
darB s'tI replied to Walking Boot of Doom's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
These powder-puff games will come to an end quickly, and we are in trouble if we don't make some drastic changes on how we play both offense and defense. This is ugly...Eastern Washington...at home...is ugly. Take that pill. -
It's not that I don't think HMP's stepped-up offense wouldn't be of value. Only that his lack of defensive understanding hurts us way worse than his offensive struggles. The same goes for his perceived inability to understand where a ball is likely to come off the rim in a rebounding situation. In good news, some of these things are not driven by ability but by being taught how to do it and learning to read situations. We shall see if he can adjust. Whether he does or not will cast a large shadow on our success or lack there of.
-
I don't post much, but read it all and don't miss games. Ever. I enjoy reading both sides of each thread and have mixed feelings. One thing I can say for sure: HMP's offense isn't necessary with this team, nor will it be needed in most games. His lack of defensive understanding, however, is clear as day. Lamar easily scouted this and had their way with us down low. And the real problem: we didn't adjust. We don't have the depth to adjust. I'm not sure how ugly it will be, but when we face a well coached team that runs X's and O's, with a quality big man, we are in deep, deep doo-doo. Enter, Wisconsin. Enter, Louisville. Even Purdue scares me how, even though they're not well coached, but they have Hammons and he is smart. Hope I'm wrong. Would love to hear some feedback.
