As a coach u got to knw how to use your players an adjust at times with different lineups. Thts y crean goes for the same type of players year in an year out cause he doesn't knw how to adjust an can coach one way run an gun

Crean doesn't knw how to use two bigs in the game at the same time an thing is they really aren't true bigs. Only way crean knws how to play an coach is 4 guards 1 big an run up an down the floor.

I don't understand y people think we have to go out east to recruit. Y we can't stay home in our state an get the best kids here. Like we had done for years. Indiana kids knw basketball an how to compete. If we would just focus on indiana kids top recruits will see what we have an want to join an elite program. But tht elite isn't going to be if crean keeps going in the direction his going. This is y Stevens did so well at butler besides knowing how to coach. This kid is the real deal an he has an outside game to go along with his ability to get to the rim at will. An he get to the rim with finesse rather than over powering plus he is playing with kids much older than him. This kid will climb the rankings fast an if crean misses out on this kid it will be a huge let down for indiana basketball cause this could be one of the biggest recruits IU has had in a long time. Very good point! Not only leadership but experience in big games, knws the system an players, an was an indiana player but goes along with all the others tht have left to. An no iu can't be a elite program under crean. Yah he might be able to recruit see talent but u have to be able to coach tht talent to be at the top crean will never win a national title cause he doesn't have the coaching ability. Now if crean were able to surround himself with great coaches an take a back seat an let them coach. An let crean be the face an enforcer an motivator of the program he could build something really good at IU. But I don't see tht happening. If anything it's going to help him. Any team tht has doubts on embiid health could pass on him an look at a much more ready body for the nba in vonleh. A lot of team I believe or going to be looking at the Greg Odon situation an say do we want to risk such a high pick on someone who has been hurt more than half the season an hurt again. For Indiana to compete at a high level we have to get two to three top recruits from indiana plan an simply. Tht is half the reason butler got on the map cause Steven was pullin indiana kids tht crean was passing up. Indiana kids knw basketball an knw how to compete an knw what it takes. Crean isn't going to be able to recruit good enough going all over the country recruiting at the state of our program is. But if he would stick to indiana an show tht they can compete with the best. Better out of state kids will follow an want to play with a successful program just like when coach knight was here. Don't knw y crean waste his time with kids so far from indiana ya some kids have there own dream but 75% or higher kids from indiana tht grow up here live an bread IU basketball. doing five thugs at once an listening to people like u u talk about how crean turned this program around gets old we what has crean done in 6 years but win one big ten title. An not to say was probably one of the best teams iu ever had has to me was a bigger let down than us not making the tourney this year. Crean hasn't brought indiana basketball back, look where we r now back to rebuilding if he brought us back we would still be competing an not trying to figure out if we r going to fill our roster. An many coaches could have done what crean has done an Stevens in the 6 years crean has been here would have been in the tourney 5 out of the 6 years.
