I think half the fan base expects us to go 8-23 the way these boards look..   In all seriousness I think CTC needs to get us to the second weekend of the tourny or he is going to be forced out.   So I would say:   Season Record - 28-7 Big Ten Finish - Top 3 Big Ten Tournament - Semi/Final NCAA Tourny - Elite 8(minimum)    I may be in the minority but I am excited to see what next season brings.

We ran into a nightmare matchup in Syracuse and you know what? If we actually could have hit a few shots that game it would have been a different story. Never understood how that one fell on CTC. We shot 33% from the floor and 20% from 3. And would any coach in the country get Yogi or JBJ or Troy to Bloomington? You are ignoring his best qualities(recruiting) and highlighting the bad only. Of course he needs to grow as a coach just like a player should grow his skills, but I feel like he is so over criticized it is almost unbelievable. 

So what would be good enough? It sounds like you want to have a bunch of one and done talent on this team. 

What about Robert Johnson? What about Collin Hartman? Stan Robinson as bad as he played this year is a great talent. Juwan Morgan has me really excited too. I think it is way too early to write off JBJ/Troy and Emmit Holt I think is going to be a great player for us. There are a ton of recruiting targets out there that we are going after that could end up in candy stripes which is really exciting.    I said right in my post that getting to the tourney 3/7 is not acceptable for our program. We are better than that, but it is foolish to not take into account the fact that CTC took over a team with one scholarship player on it. But I will give you that it isnt acceptable. I just dont get the Chicken Little/world is ending attitude of what seems like our entire fan base.

So making the tourney 3/4 years doesn't count? And that one year missing the tourney was after losing 2 top 5 picks and half the team? I get that making the tourney 3 out of 7 is not up to IU standards but have we already forgotten the mess of those first few years? Bottom line is we have to do better and I think with CTC we can and will do better. And how do you know we would be going to zero after next year? We have some great talent in our underclassmen and CTC is an above average recruiter. Does that all just go away?

I feel like everyone is suicidal right now with this team and CTC. But looking at next year, we have a chance to have a great team. We are in the running for a top 25 big guy(exactly what we need), we will get DD back which is a huge boost, and we will have a lot of returning talent. I will take that formula every time, I mean seriously if we hold on to most of everybody how could you not like that potential team? Would losing maybe all of that be worth getting a different coach that may or may not improve our situation? Another year under everyone's belt and some newcomers could turn this into a championship caliber team and we are acting like there is no hope and we have the worst coach in D1. Its mind boggling to me

I love this team, this coach, and this entire season. No matter what was going on this was fun. Can't wait for next year.

I will be attempting to watch this game on my phone while trying to not get fired... I would say the risk is worth it!

Yes I could, but honestly there are times that I like to try and see how fellow members of this fan base think.. We have a week break before a game I guess its fair to say that there is plenty of time for this kind of talk and it should be expected. It just gets to a point where it seems people are way more worried about getting rid of our coach then winning a game in the ultimate sporting event in the world(in my eyes). I respect everyones opinion and their ability to make them. We all want what is best for this program and I just happen to fall on the side that thinks a coach that has done as much as he has for our program deserves more than what he is getting from some of us.. 

You are 100% correct. But me posting here was more me getting more and more upset seeing it in every thread and seeing this pop up. Maybe not the place to make my comment but it is disheartening to see all the talk when we are getting ready for a tourney game

It would be nice to be scrolling through the forum 4 days before a NCAA tournament game, a winnable one at that, and not see comment after comment about getting rid of our coach. The grass is always greener I guess.

We have been a better team without him on the court, but its March and weirder things have/will happen(ed). I just get the feeling that he could be the x factor for March after earning a lot of scorn this year

Yea I know that's what this year has been for Stan but that doesn't mean it'll be the same here. We need his defense this game, without a doubt. I think if he comes in and plays well on that end and stays under control on offense to start, his confidence can soar. If that happens maybe he can start finishing those shots he has been missing this year. Not saying I am 100% sure he plays well, but it seems like the perfect time for good Stan to come out.

  Color me crazy but I think it will be Stan... He comes in and plays great defense, doesnt turn the ball over, and scores 12+ points.

  I dont think there is really any chance of us losing, I feel like CTC and staff should have them going and understanding how big these games are. Of course I thought the same thing about the Purdue game so who knows....
