Prediction League Game 28 (Week 15) IU vs Rutgers (02/22/15)
ctown2grhoosier replied to Naturalhoosier's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
If this happens we will see a message board/social media melt down like Hoosier nation has never seen. It would be scary! Lol -
Not only do we continue to sign unbalanced classes, but why do we go out and sign worthless out of state recruits like Jurkin, Priller, April, etc when we have in state kids like Sean Sellers, Sam Longwood, Bryant Mcintosh, Elliott Welmer, etc (who are higher level recruits) in our own backyard that don't even get offered scholarships. Knight would have never let players like Kellen Dunham, Bryant Mcintosh, Dee Davis, etc leave the state. Mcintosh is averaging 12ppg this year. 6-7 Sellers is averaging 11 and 6-7 Longwood is averaging 5 and 5. Think that could have helped us this year? We're literally getting 0 from Priller and April and the bare minimum from a guy like Robinson. I just do not understand his recruiting philosophy at all.

IU vs. Purdue Postgame Thread
ctown2grhoosier replied to Hovadipo's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
In year 7 no doubt. We're a bubble team and fans are ecstatic about it, saying "we were picked to finish 10th and instead we'll probably finishing 7th or 8th so be happy, great job coach"! I'm so frustrated at fans accepting mediocre basketball. I'm sorry but it's no longer an opinion it's a FACT: Tom Crean is a mediocre coach who will not bring IU to the elite level of basketball we all want IU basketball to be at. So it comes down to this. A) Do you want a coach who wins at an elite level (i.e. Duke, Kentucky, Kansas, Louisville, Michigan State, etc.)? or B ) Do you want Tom Crean? A coach who wins at a mediocre status (i.e. Cincinnati, Georgia Tech, NC State, Marquette, Iowa, etc.) Pretty average bubble NCAA or NIT team most of the time, but we'll surprise ya and make it to the sweet16 or E8 every once in a while... Well I choose A! Indiana can be elite again! It was before it can be again. We have all the same pieces to offer just like the elite schools (i.e. the facilities, passionate fan base, tradition, etc.). We just need the right man Steering the ship! Tom Crean is not that man and if you haven't realized it by now I'm sorry. -
Not everyone will come back. We'll definitely have transfers. We've had'em every year Creans been here and that trend will continue. Yogi could possibly go pro as well. My guess is you won't see April, Priller, and (maybe) Robinson on the team next year. Also, Devin Davis remains a big question mark. Will be an interesting off season as it always is with Tom Crean coached teams.

Who the heck is Trey Lyles?

Illinois was a HUGE win! They were listed as a bubble team on ESPN.com and coming off wins at Northwestern and home against Maryland w/o Rice in those 2 games as well. We've got wins over 3 ranked opponents and we're 4-1 in the B1G. IMO we should be ranked.

Georgia at 11-5 gets a vote over us? Just crazy!
-
I'm pretty sure we won that 2003 game in Indy. Could be wrong.
-
Even more proof we've reverted back to the Mike Davis days!

Is IU currently reaching out to Brad Stevens through back channels?
ctown2grhoosier replied to southernindianahoosier's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
You know Bo Ryan says the same thing every time he coaches against Crean! -
Dude I can't understand anything you're saying. Try using periods and check your spelling. Just saying...
-
If that's the case it was a great offer.
-
Butler on the ropes! Down 5 with 4 left.

I'm sorry but Austin Etherington is not that good of a player. Kinda wondering why he ever got a scholarship to IU. He's a below average defender and an average shooter.

Time to Remove Fred Glass.
ctown2grhoosier replied to FKfootball's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
Time for Glass, Crean, and Wilson to pack their bags. I've spent way to much time and money on this program to watch these fools continue to steer the ship in the wrong direction. Changes must be made. I cannot accept the current state of the IU program. -

Stan and Troy suspended for failed drug tests..

Makes me sick that Robinson in in trouble again. Obviously he learned nothing from the 1st incident and he has no respect for Coach Crean, his teammates, or the program. If it's me he'd be off the team. Also, Crean's lack of accountability towards his players has created a culture of "we can get away with anything". Changes need to be made. -
Starting Lineup Predictions

Yogi, JBJ, Stan, Troy, & HMP. 2 five stars and 3 four stars. Wow! No reason we shouldn't win with this line up. -

Sporting News Picks IU to finish 10th in B1G

[quote name="rebelhoosier848891" post="82153" timestamp="1409766509"]HA HA HA--IS THIS A JOKE? The Sporting News is ridiculous! It's always fun to kick IU when we're down--but we will rise again THIS YEAR! Tenth out of 14 teams----with two McD All- Americans in the backcourt, a soon to be first round draft pick at forward, and a ton of other solid players including shooters out the wazoo----not happening! Keep this issue of Sporting News around for when you need a good laugh------------------ or extra toilet paper!  It just shows how CTC is perceived as a coach by the National Media. If we switch our roster with MSU they'd have both teams in the same spots they're in now. -
I'm all for new up to date warm ups, cool alternate jerseys, and names on the back of the jerseys. That's what kids want these days. They don't care about Indiana's tradition. Give the kids what they want. Just win baby!

Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I337 using BtownBanners mobile app

I think the problem is that most of us think he can't help us this year so why bring him in? He's just another kid that'll play sparingly then transfer. Just like Bawa, AE, Hollowell, Jurkin, etc. I think the same will happen to Hartman, April and Priller. 3 kids that should have never received scholarships in the 1st place imo, but hey in Tom Crean we trust right?

Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I337 using BtownBanners mobile app
