I give in. I hope we win the BTT.

I hear ya. Idk if I can even watch tonight! -
Is it really that bad between him and the local coaches? If so we're in real trouble.

All that money in recruiting and we end up with guys like Priller and April? Someone tell Crean in the future he really doesn't even need to leave the state to recruit. That's if he has a future.

Nope it's Northwestern unless Nebraska beats Maryland tonight then we play Nebraska. -

I know one thing Crean and this team have got to step up and beat the freakin Northwestern Wildcats on Thursday. If we lose to them again I don't care if we land Bryant, Maker or LeBron James Crean has got to go period! Sick of BS talk go out and win! -

What if we landed both Maker and Bryant? Crean can stay if that happens. Thinking of a Yogi, JBJ, Troy, TB, and Thon lineup makes me smile! -

Cal called and inquired about the job after Davis was fired. -
Baffling facts from the Tom Crean era
ctown2grhoosier replied to Magnanimous's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
Tom crean hung a solo banner for his only accomplishment, bob knight gets to do that, crean does not. Bob had equity I could go on[/quote] If he gets fired I guarantee the banner comes down. -

I mean seriously he has the same type of team as IU, but has coached them to utilize their strengths. Plus he doesn't try to play 12 deep. I've been screaming at Crean to shorten his bench all year. The more I read about Miller the more I'd love to have him. -

Wow everyone needs to read that article. Definitely on the Miller bandwagon as well. -

Gregg Marshall is an unbelievable high-level coach. His name should be mentioned more. What he's done with Winthrop and Wichita State has been unbelievable. He's #2 on my list. Stevens is and should be everybody's #1. -

I know a lot of us can't stand him (me included ), but I gained so much respect for Cal after the UCONN loss last year for taking responsibility for the loss. Saying he and his coaching staff didn't put their players in the best position to win. That's what Crean does all the time with his crazy lineups, switching D's in middle of possessions, etc. Doesn't put us in the best position to win, but you never hear him say it. -
Potential fallout from coaching change

I'd have a "Crean Out" for Saturday's game if I was the students. Don't go to the game. Empty seats will speak louder than anything else. Want things to change? Force their hands. -
Man MSU starting Tum Tum and Marvin Clark. How nice would it be to have them instead of April and Priller.

Not say crean is bad coach just questioning some of his choice
ctown2grhoosier replied to Hoosiers High Life's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
I can't remember which game it was but I remember Max being in the game and hitting a 3 then getting a steal, starting a fast break, and made a beautiful pass to Collin for an And 1. Then BAM he pulled him out. I just remember looking at my dad and saying what the hell? 2 great plays then right to the bench. Completely takes the kid out of his zone. -
Didn't anyone watch Northern Iowa and Wichita State? Wichita is really good. Play great team basketball. Unbelievably well coached. Would have to say Marshall would be at the top of my list to replace Crean at this point.

ctown2grhoosier replied to Hoosiers High Life's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
Crean is just so OCD/nervous acting and he always seems scattered brain and out of control. I get the feeling he's very insecure in his own coaching ability, and that translates onto the court and to the players to some extent. I really think the players dont have much confidence in their leader, and it shows a lot on the court. I'm sorry but IU will never have the level of success we all want under Crean. NEVER! -

I watched it but I also watched the Maryland, Minnesota game where we couldn't miss. If that shows up you never know. Not like we're going to the final 4. It could be one of those magical nights in march. -

I'm sure it's probably just me but if we end up at a 8 or 9 seed I hope it's in UK's bracket. IU vs UK in the Yum! That place would be electric! And if we have one of those 17-18 made 3 pointer games you never know. All the pressure would be on the Cats. Especially if they're undefeated. Payback for 75. Yogi with the game winner! Whata dream come true! -
Oh wow I guess I didn't realize he was that highly rated. That kid has been such a disappointment. Wouldn't be surprised if he's not in candy stripes next year.
-
Thank you! This is what I'm trying to say. Instead of having these type of kids on our team we wasted scholarships on guys like Jurkin, Capo, Priller, April, Robinson, Abell, etc. And these are not high level rated guys. Why go out of state for kids like these?
-
I'm just saying if we're going to take low rated recruits like April and Priller I'd rather us take these type of kids from the state. I would rather see guys like McIntosh, Sellers, and Sam Longwood on our team than guys like Priller, April and Robinson that give us nothing.
-
Not saying we shouldn't sign out of state talent. I would have signed Fischer over Welmer without a doubt. It's going out of state and offering the lower rated guys like Jurkin, Capo, April, Priller, Robinson, etc instead of offering kids in your own backyard like Dunham, McIntosh, Sellers, etc. Why do we do that? You realize those 3 never even received offers from IU? Just blows my mind.
