    Potential coaching change suggestions

I would much rather have a guy like Brad Brownell then Richard Pitino. Shoot, I'd rather have Dane Fife than Pitino.

    Potential coaching change suggestions

Richard Pitino...Heaven help us. I'm not saying he's not a decent coach, but in terms of "fit" and I can think of lots other candidates that would better connect with Indiana and Indiana high school coaches. We don't need excitement and fireworks...we need someone who gets it!

Stephen Zimmerman down to IU & UK???

I find it quite frustrating that we can't get a quality big to commit, as well.  Crean's system IS more guard/wing oriented, but come on!  If anything, Vonleh's supposed comments had to do some damage.  It's never good when your lottery pick is saying he wasn't used as he should have been.    And so, it's probably the combination of a guard oriented system, players watching how IU has used its highly talented big men the last three years, and maybe even some questioning Crean's long-term stability here.  I can't see any of those being a positive to us landing an outstanding big.
  4. I'm not sure what to make of this. So, they're not BAD kids, buts it's ALL on the kids? To me, this is Glass covering some behind. They're not bad kids, so that's why it was ok for coach to recruit them? But the responsibility is all on the kids, so that's why Crean is the solution?! The current IU roster has multiple players that I don't want to be role models for my sons. My 7 year old loves Troy Williams, but how to I explain to him why he's not playing? (Or why a third of IU scholly players aren't playing?) Crean is paid millions every year to win games and raise men who will make positive contributions to society. It seems both of those things are frayed. I think we need to realize, as many here do, that Glass is in danger here, too. I think he realizes that he's attached to Crean with the rediculous contract extension and he seems to be willing to go down with him. Not to mention other issues in the athletic department that I think reflect poorly on Glass. I'm confident there are persons in the Adminstration who are concerned with Him, especially after the recent events involving our IUWBB coach. It's not all butterflys and rainbows right now.

    Conclusions from HH

I took my two young sons to their first HH experience yesterday. We had a great time. It really is a good family event. One thing I kindof scratched my head about afterwards, though was the Sage Steele & Tom Crean interview. Sage asked Crean about the character of the kids he has recruited to IU and it seemed to me he got fairly defensive...something to the effect that he was ready to watch the players, etc. Was I the only one that found this exchange awkward?
