IU punished itself... knee-jerk response to an overzealous fanbase...   it's almost like IU is the perfect picture of allergens that interfere with an immune system... the attack against itself is far worse than any outside imposition...

that's a good point...Zman, though; has his degree from Southern Illinois?   what about the IU freshman that has a scholarship, rides the bench, and has to worry about next year... he knows he has a guaranteed scholly at a D2 or mid... but will he as a Sophomore at IU?   a new can of worms, me thinks... 

haven't ya'll heard?  the Federal Government will soon be overlooking NCAA athletics headed up by Barack Obama...   everything will be fine and "Hope and Change" will soon be overseeing UK athletics... it will all be taken care of...

as an IU fan, I definitely would choose to sit the bench and take in the glorious atmosphere of IU basketball.. as a basketballer...sitting on the bench would get real old, real fast sometime in Mid-December...   if you are good enough to make the squad...you are pretty damn good, AND you have put in some hard work to get where you are at and will want to play competitively and that ultimately means you are going to be dissatisfied riding the pine...
