yeah...that's a whole different topic...the necessity to play solid D... both of those squads that we watched tonight took pride in their defense...   and that ND kid that is multi-sport...he's a ball of energy... I like him.. 

you are correct... they don't have to live in this state...   you just have to want to win more than the air that temporarily resides in your lungs... or something like that.

he is just tough as hell... he doesn't finesse anything, but is just a workhorse that battles...hardnosed.   IU could learn a thing or two by watching Butler...you fight when you are down, and don't give up...   somebody mentioned it earlier...you aren't going to win anything by being a great 3 point shooting team...

Roosevelt Jones' shot is like the White River after 3 inches of rainfall... ugly as hell, but people are taking notice, and dammit...you better be prepared.

I re-watch that game from time to time...and I still don't know how we pulled that off.. even the bone-head foul by Fife at the end and the missed layup by Boozer at the buzzer... it defies all logic...

it's shaping up to be an interesting Sweet 16... Butler or Notre Dame... Zona is in.. UK of course... UCLA and the Alfords aren't letting the paint dry.... and Xavier still competes on...   that's the frustrating part for me...Xavier, Gonzaga, Butler and Wichita State seem to have taken their roles as NCAA strongholds replacing teams like IU... I know I know...IU hasn't been competitive in 20 years in the tournament except for a couple of blips...but it doesn't ease the frustration anymore with how some of these squads are showing us how it's done...
