Favorite IUBBall Humor/Joke

Sure was. I loved SS's baseball field back in the days of the block wall and concrete bleachers in right. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners -

When I was a kid I lived pretty close to the Spencer County line. In fact, back in the days before class basketball, SS's basketball team would dribble past my house on their way to sectionals. I thought that was the coolest thing ever. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners -

Well, I was fishing on the Hoosier side of the Ohio River one night. I had caught several nice catfish, when I heard someone yelling from the Ky side. Come to find out it was the Dean of students at UK. He was in Owensboro talking to local high school kids. He said hey there Hoosier I see you're catching quite a few fish over there, can I join you? I said sure, I'll shine my flashlight over that way and you walk over on the beam. He said, how dumb do you think I am son, I'll get halfway across and you'll shut out the light. (2015) SG Shake Milton to SMU
Geometry Hoosier replied to ccgeneral's topic in Indiana Basketball Recruiting Forum
I would much rather him take plenty of time and know for sure he wants to be at IU, then to pick us only to realize he's homesick. This decision is probably the biggest one he has ever had to face. I just hope he makes the choice that best suits him. Twenty one years after leaving JUCO for a four year school, I still regret my decision! Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners -

Troy and I when he was 5. Troy and I now!!

A lot of us fans (including me) don't like to hear anything negative about our favorite team/school. With that being said, I don't think Dakich was too far off with his criticism of last season. Please don't hate on me too much. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners -
Cards better show up to play today. Also, I hate typing this, but GO reds. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners

I'm pretty sure we've all said what are you doing a time or two. I know I yelled it several times at the TV last season. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners -
This Started It All for Me
Geometry Hoosier replied to FortWayneHoosier's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
When I was a kid we would go to some UE games, but we would always watch IU on TV. We lived outside of town so all we had were 6 local channels. Luckily, the games were on one of them, 44 I think. I'll have to admit that I watched almost every game until I went off to college in the fall of '92 then I basically stopped. I didn't start watching again until Cody came. My HS played Washington every year and I wanted to follow his career, so I started watching again. Now I'm hooked again! So I guess Cody brought me back to IU basketball. Missouri has the worst fans, I swear.
Geometry Hoosier replied to FKfootball's topic in Indiana Hoosiers Football
I would say the worst fans ever had to be the ones at Arizona St. who shouted PLO, go back to Beirut, and where's your dad, to Steve Kerr, whose dad was murdered by Lebanese terrorist. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners -

I'm not sure, but since that would be right in the middle of the season, I don't think it's realistic. If he gets his academics squared away, he could after one year for sure. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners -

Rebelhoosier, one of my favorite places to play was SS. I loved those old concrete bleachers in right field. Sadly they're gone now! In fact, Coach Kuester was my old Legion Coach. He's a great guy and a great coach. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners -

When I was in high school, I was being recruited by coach Morgan to play baseball at IU. My guidance counselor told me that as long as I was on the college prep course of study (which I was) I could get in any school I wanted to. Geometry was not a requirement in that field of study, so I didn't take it. Guess what, I didn't get accepted at IU because I didn't have geometry (check out my user name). Kasango may have gotten some bad info like I did. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners -
Yes he did.
Thanks. They've got a heck of a coach at South Spencer. His oldest boys were our bat boys during legion ball. Wow, that makes me feel old, since they're both out of college now. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners -

2014 July Evaluation Period
Geometry Hoosier replied to ccgeneral's topic in Indiana Basketball Recruiting Forum
You're welcome. I don't know much about him. His HS roster has him at 6'4, but his AAU roster has him at 6'7. If that's true he's grown 3" in less than a year. That's got to be hard on knees. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners -
