Its not really you. It's because of years of bizarre ramblings from people on various IU boards. And I don't particularly like Alford because of the pierce situation and how he treated a lot of people at Iowa.

People have said that about the Cubs at various points for years. The Cardinals have a great farm system too, but they effectively sign free agents and actually develop players as well.

My problem is people always talk about "accepting mediocrity", but then fawn over coaches who, while they have had success, would in no way be in demand if they didn't have ties to Knight. There isn't some magic dust that makes former IU players amazing coaches.

Should win: ISU, BG (beat them 41-10 last year), NT, and PU (at home again). Then we have PSU at home again (beat them 41-20 last year), Maryland, and Rutgers. I think we could finally get UM this year...been so close recently. -
