So, not that Tracy Smith is a bad coach (he's an excellent coach and I'm a big fan), but why is it cool for him to be having a rough go of it in year two, but not for Lemonis? Both teams were in the tourney last year.

He wasn't offered, but may be in a couple of weeks if he hasn't committed. Depends on how our QBs finish off the spring.

And of course the B1G is starting a 9 game conference schedule in football this year too.

You mean like...ever again? Of course. There's no reason to get silly about this. They lost A TON of talent. But that run we just had over the last few years...that was lightning in a bottle. With that said, we made the tourney last year with a first year head coach. If things don't finish up well this year, I don't think one year without making the tourney is some huge disappointment. I mean, as far as being a "Big Ten contender", we were last year. This year's team is just too inconsistent. Too many errors in the field.

Well, yes, that tends to happen when you lose as much talent as we have the last couple of years. We are probably never going to have that much power in the lineup again. I was surprised we made the tournament last year. Fortunately, teams are allowed to recruit and turn underclassmen into upperclassmen.

That won't last.

Oh his ranking will go up, but there is something to be said about the prestige of our other commits. All highly thought of. This is just part of the deal. Bama has decommits every year.

He's the DC. The bizarre titles are just for salary and potential career advancement.
