Purdue's new locker room looks very nice. Just for reference, I suspect what we get will be similar in terms of an open layout. Work on our new locker room/player lounge will begin next summer once the Hoosier Room is vacated and all that stuff is moved over to the south end zone. Will free up a lot of space for the team. -

The new dining area on the second level will simply replace the old Hoosier Room (which will be converted into additional space for the locker room/players lounge). It will be the training table for all 24 sports, and serve as a club for donors on game days. There will be a separate suite next to it and there will be tables and some seating outside in front of the area. The terrace on the roof will also have tables and chairs, along with restrooms and concessions, but that will be open to general ticket holders/families instead of just Varsity Club members. Here is more info on what the new nutrition center will have: https://spark.adobe.com/page/ph5K71uFOqyS9/ As part of the Excellence Academy, the Tobias Nutrition Center will be home to one of the premier nutrition facilities and dining spaces in all of college athletics. The nearly 10,000 square foot space will provide a place to fuel the nearly 650 students who participate in IU's 24 varsity sports. The main dining area will have seating available for 300 people with various table sizes and includes large windows to allow for natural light and magnificent views into Memorial Stadium. Large televisions will be also scattered throughout the area. Lunch and dinner will be served five days a week with a daily breakfast oasis for students. Service will be in a food station concept with stations including Italian, grill, homestyle, subs and wraps, large salad, fruit and soup bar. Menu items will be prepared fresh on site by dining staff at each of these stations. The breakfast oasis will be a morning fueling station for students with a variety of options to start the day. Two large beverage stations will be installed including a water bottle filling station as new electronic menu boards will display what is available each day. -

The temporary scoreboard/play clock has been added to the south end zone, along with a new play clock in the north end zone. They are also adding in more turf at the south end of the field until they can add the track surface once the project is done. In addition, you can see that Marching Hundred Hall is coming along nicely. -

Indiana University and adidas today unveiled the “Hep’s Rock” Primeknit alternate football uniforms, which will be make their on-field debut on Saturday, September 23 vs. Georgia Southern. Developed in collaboration with Indiana University Athletics, the “Hep’s Rock” alternate uniforms pay homage to team tradition and serve as a tribute to the 10-year anniversary of the passing of former Head Football Coach, Terry Hoeppner. Coach Hoeppner’s legacy includes the creation of a ritual that the Hoosiers still practice today. In 2005, Hoeppner had a limestone boulder that was found in the practice field removed and installed at the north end zone of Memorial Stadium. The boulder was dubbed "The Rock" and prior to the start of each home game, the Hoosiers would touch “The Rock” before running onto the field. Hoeppner died of brain cancer on June 19, 2007, and The Rock (renamed "Hep's Rock" in 2010) now serves as motivation for the team as well as a tribute to Hoeppner's influence on the football program. Inspired by the team’s tradition and to honor to Coach Hoeppner, the new alternate uniforms are centered around a subtle limestone graphic that was designed to replicate the visual aesthetic, texture and color of “Hep’s Rock.” Creating a new signature look for the Hoosiers, the classic crimson jerseys are emblazoned with the Indiana script logo and player numbers that are highlighted with the custom-created limestone pattern to match the limestone pants. The “Hep’s Rock” theme continues with the TECHFIT compression baselayer that features a limestone graphic and is highlighted with the “Indiana” moniker prominently placed on the chest. Additionally, the stone colored adizero 5-Star 5.0 gloves feature a white oversized graphic of the “Indiana” script logo on the palms. To complete the head-to-toe look, the team will wear an anodized crimson helmet with a white interlocked “IU” logo on the sides and white adidas adizero and FREAK cleats with crimson accents. The “Hep’s Rock” Primeknit alternative uniform is at the forefront of design and innovation, providing players the perfect blend of style and technology for elite performance. Made with a cutting-edge, proprietary yarn blend that increases durability and abrasion resistance, Primeknit is the premier compression uniform system, featuring the latest generation of adidas TECHFIT technology. Primeknit helps keep players cool and increases range of motion, giving athletes an unrivaled level of comfort and allowing them to perform at their highest levels. The jersey's padlock system secures tension over the shoulder pads, while the bodymap fit adheres to the player, making it difficult for opponents to grab, hold or tackle. New Hep's Rock alternate uniform will be worn against GA Southern. I believe that is the 10 year Insight Bowl reunion. Look closer at the numbers and the pants:

As of now, the lots aren't opening until 3. That is so damn stupid that I cannot put it into words. Ticket office says they will update if any changes occur. -

It was announced it was going to be in the stadium a month ago when this was all first announced. It was never going to be outside. This is a special edition of gameday like when they go to The Rose Bowl and set up inside the stadium. They were never going to have an outdoor segment on a Thursday on a school day. With that said, they are still going to have plenty of crowd shots and cameras running around. They will show fans in and out of the stadium. ESPN is sending the full Gameday crew and having four hours of live pregame coverage from the stadium. If you get into the stadium to watch the show on the big screen, you will likely get on TV. Gates open at 5:30 for the 6pm show. Considering how much ridiculous coverage we are getting for this, including two separate pregame shows, College Football Live airing from the stadium, and literally seven different ways to watch the game, some of the complaining about this is getting a little old. It's also kind of strange that people seem to think that IU controls where ESPN sets up and how they produce the show. ESPN was never going to put the set up outside. -

The five hours thing is just a standard time they give out. The policy is at least five hours before kick off. We have had 8 o'clock games before where the lots open at noon. -

Yeah from what I can tell it looks pretty cool. It appears that there's going to be a new helmet too but you can't see much.

You mean show the same things at the same time? Why wouldn't they? They will both show score, stats, and replays. One is just smaller than the other one. The smaller boards at Assembly Hall on the ends show exactly the same thing as the larger ones facing the sides. -

Yep. North is 20 X 68, and the south one will be 42 X 91. They will also add a ribbon board in the south end zone like the one in the north end zone. -

They are really hitting 2019 hard for big men. The 2018 class is a really weak class for post players. Plus the late start. -
Nothing is going to happen to Glass. Nothing is going to happen to recruiting. Penn State and Baylor had two absolutely horrific scandals and didn't suffer at all in grabbing good players. And this certainly isn't that. Fans have taken the whole negative recruiting thing and contorted it into this massive issue and it's incredibly annoying. Relax. So can we please not make stupid leaps over this? I feel for Bryant. He will be back. No one is going to be talking about this next week. Saying Purdue is lighting a cigar over this is asinine.
