I'm blaming them (adults) for making it a 'circus' and a skeptical. Most adults should not need to get joy from a decision of an 18-year-old. I think adults should sit back and wait for the young man to make his decision. The whole 'crying' about when the young man is going to decide seems like an 'adult' problem to me. Just my two cents... like I said ... I'm not too in touch with the recruiting scene. I personally think the young man should be the one enjoying the process. Kinda of my point in the first place... And 'NO' the well-rounded comment had nothing to do with an adult. I listen to the young man speak and gave my opinion. I'm sure he has had adult influences in his life and I'm guessing the ones that matter don't want any part of the circus. If they want part of the spotlight then they're part of the problem.

I don't fully understand the recruiting landscape, but I blame the adults for about 99 percent of this nonsense. I've listened to a couple of this young man interviews and I'm impressed. He's a well rounded high caliber player that IU would be happy to sign. I'm okay with him picking how/when.

My freshman year at IU was 1987. I've seen greatness and Coach Miller truly gives me hope that we're headed in that direction. I actually liked Coach Crean, but he never gave me hope that we could become 'Great'. I thought we would have periods of 'really good', but not long periods of greatness. We shall see how it unfolds.

I might be more excited about the start of this year over any other team in recent history (even over 2012). It should be really fun to watch. This team should make substantial leaps in improvement and it will be fun to watch it unfold.

Coach Knight was a great coach. The biggest thing I came away with from watching that 30/30 was a lot of respect for Reed and his family. He was the poster child for a coach Knight player and his mentor turned on him. I truly think coach Knight was off the rails and I’m a big Knight supporter. He lost his way somewhere and lost what was important. He started believing he was bigger than the team and the school (hell maybe the state). Unfortantly, IU allowed that behavior until it wasn’t good for IU.

If Romeo shows up driving one of these, I would be worried. If not, I'm guessing it's IU.

I really think we need a 'group hug'. A lot of anger going on around here these days ... everyone has different opinions and different outlooks on what IU basketball will be... unless they're obvious trolls, I would say let them speak their mind on an open forum about IU basketball. I agree with about 20 percent of what is posted on here, but I never get angry at the person posting their opinion. The whole recruiting threads are the best at bringing out our best, which is mind boggling... the decision of an 18 year old should not bring out these reactions. Call me what you want... I'm guessing, I've been called worse.

That's why I always loved when we beat some of the shady programs (UK) with Knight coaching. He would make sure it was good vs evil. Now... Coach Knight had a lot of his own demons, but I always loved that he did it the 'right way' when it came to recruiting. Or at least, I think he did. And he would not stand for kids not going to class or doing well in school.
