17 minutes ago, T White said:We do a lot of odd things with our language and pronunciation.
For example, show me where the "R" is is the military rank of Colonel. And yet it is pronounced more like Kernel.
There is an interesting history there with it being a French word.
I'm pretty sure the French have a different word for cockburn.

There cannot be a language anywhere in the world where "ck" is silent. He pulled some real Keyser Soze **** on that one.

WOW!
Some of these other guards on our roster better get in the gym... Competition for minutes will be stiff!

I don't think we will see Race start along TJD with the 41 offense unless he really works on his outside shot this summer. Would have to be Hunter or a greatly improved Geronimo.
Or - a stretch 4 transfer?

I'm just gonna say it - the way he has his program running at Purdue, it's a better job than Arizona. Maybe he gets a raise/extension out of the rumor mill.

I'd take that deal. I already have half of it covered.

First story to leak out of that program... I know who everyone will be looking sideways at!

Can you elaborate? Interview didn't go well but he got the job?

So looks like he is an IU lock, esp. with the picture with clearly represents him sitting next to CMW getting a scholarship offer.
Is his Twitter hacked or is he really slinging PS5s on the side?
If not hacked, seems sketchy.

Not sure about rotation but those are my starters.
I would still think Hunter over Brooks since Jerome can shoot it in the 4-out scheme.

Which situation best serves IU, say, 5 yrs later.
a)Fife stays as asst coach.
b) Fife gets a job at somewhere like Iowa St or ODU and hones his HC craft before returning to IU?
If things are going well, keep the band together. Worked at Wisconsin, could work at UNC (we’ll see).

Is this a Big Ten crew working the game? Star player picks up two quick fouls, one of them suspect, and has to sit. Only Big Ten refs completely F a big game like that.

Sounds like the Fife rumors from last week.

I think we all agreed Woodson needs a couple "sharks" on the recruiting trail. Are Lewis and Fife "sharks" on the trail? Is Kenya Hunter?
Still think there's another guy out there for us to find. Hoping to be pleasantly surprised.

This is like Justin Smith wanting to be a three point shooter. Sure, you can want that, but you need the skill set for it. Al doesn't have a PG skill set. He'll be playing on the wing at Providence.

I can't image building and restocking your roster entirely with transfers, but as a wise man once said: You never know.

I think some of us get wrapped up in the uniqueness of college basketball and sometimes forget this is a very high profile minor leagues.
We just hired a longtime head coach and assistant from the major leagues to come coach our minor league team. He should run circles around most Division I coaches. Just have to get talented players in the program and I believe coach Woodson will succeed here.
