  1. I believe Archie will be successful here, and I know the situations are different, but it is REALLY frustrating to see the other two candidates for the job sitting at #1 and #6 in the country.

Even more frustrating? Dayton has recovered from the loss of Archie and are sitting at #19.

Culver defeats Rock Island 63-53.  Galloway with 35 pts.  My scoresheet from listening to the Rock Island announcers has Galloway with 11-20 FG; 1-6 on 3s; 12-14 on FT.  He had at least 4 reb.  Most of his points came on drives to the basket or putbacks.   It was either an aberration or he really worked on his FT shooting over the summer as he shot less than 60% last year.

Scott Burgess,  senior contribuor to PrepHoopsIL tweeted this at halftime:  Hoosiers commit Trey Galloway was very good in the first half. Played on the ball most of the time handling the Rock Island pressure. Crafty getting in the lane for scores. Rebounded well.

UPDATE:   This game is part of the Kevin Brown Memorial Tournament and this was sent out moments ago:   Tyler Galloway with 35 pts 8reb 4ast and named player of the game.     [Yes, they called him Tyler]

Announcer: "Player of the game! get up here Tyler!"

    Trey: "My name is Trey."

Announcer: "Hahaha, it is now! Good one, son."

    Jeff Borzello -

Temple forward Jake Forrester had his waiver request approved by the NCAA; he’s immediately eligible for the Owls. Former Indiana transfer.

I really don't understand how these decisions are made.

Rough game but 6-0 we are. Should 7-0 going into the FSU game which will be the toughest game we have in the non-conference slate. UConn will be feisty though. I think we can beat Wisconsin as well if we don’t make stupid mistakes but you’ll be playing 5 on 8 there. We will fly into the state of Wisconsin and everyone will already have 3 fouls.

I love digging up obscure facts - especially on a dull night.  Here goes.

Total starts during IU career:  Smith (46), Durham (44), Phinisee (29), Green (24), Davis (22), Brunk (18).  Franklin (5), Jackson-Davis (5).  Of course Brunk includes his time at Butler.  Anyone else surprised that in four years Green has only started 24 games?

Last night's result Texas A& M (56) - Troy (52).  What?  Did anyone see that coming?

ELEVEN schools in the Big Ten have a lower 3-point percentage than Indiana!  I know still early but still.

The Big Tens record presently is 39-14.  Cup Cake season, but how did we manage to lose 14 times?

56 teams are still undefeated - including the Hoosiers.

Considering how he played up until last spring, I'm not surprised at all.

Through your eyes that should show you how down the B1G recruiting is conference wise. Because in 2018,19,20 IU’s recruiting classes ranked in the 247 composite average out to be around the top for B1G teams nationally and in conference. Winning cures all. If IU had Ohio st 2020 recruiting class most on here would have pitchforks out. When I have more time I will post the numbers

Only if they had forgotten completely about OSU's 2019 class - 3 top 50 guys.

Rabjohns is close with the family, and he posted that as of late last night the family was still working to make a decision. I think that all signs point to Marquette, but I am holding out hope that the fact he hasn't already tipped his hat to them is because he really wants to go to IU.

If not, I am still very excited about our roster next year. Holding a scholarship for a loaded 2021 class also isn't the worst thing in the world (I believe there are 6 Indiana kids in the top 100), especially if there is a very solid grad transfer available.

Like he was close with the Garland family? Rabjohns is a clown.

Anyone have the gif when that guy crosses him over and made him stumble. I bet if they show that in film room it gets a few laughs.

Through the first half, I kept saying way are we playing Damezi all these minutes. But then second half he played a lot better. I think he’s still in the bottom 3 of my depth chart though.

He definitely looked more composed and game-ready on offense in the second half. His defense still wasn't very good though. But hopefully the defense is easier to get corrected.

Look, I won’t get worried until we see how he plays in the B1G, but damn he’s looking real impressive. We’ve always talked about him as a multi-year player, but if I’m an NBA scout, TJD is on my watch list this year.

The color commentator on the broadcast said it best I think. Something along the lines of, "He's not out here trying to play a finesse game. He's playing with pure aggression." Love to see that from a freshman.
