This is a re-dedication to mediocrity that will mean another lost decade for IU basketball. Of course, I can't blame Dolson for that. I can only blame the administration that hired him. The kneecapping of IU basketball by its own administration will continue unabated. The reason given for his hiring? We need continuity during the pandemic. Reasonable approach in the short term but unconscionable in the long term given the quality of available candidates.

Citing an actual source is cherry picking now? That source being one of the only countries in the world actually prepared to test large amounts of people and therefore having a more accurate reading of the actual fatality rate. You follow up by citing figures implying a 16.5% fatality rate with NO SOURCE. Classic. ”Nice cherry picking of that reputable source with a large sample size. Here’s some numbers I made up instead.”

The experts are also saying, as you surely know, that the only people being tested are the ones with symptoms. And even then, given the scarcity of tests, only people with more than mild symptoms. Plenty of people are walking around with this virus who are asymptomatic or only experiencing mild symptoms. One of the only countries actually dedicated to testing EVERYBODY is South Korea where the death rate is 0.7%. Just finished watching the game. Wisconsin made more of their shots and executed better in the last few minutes. We missed a few close ones and a Jerome Hunter 3 that I thought for sure would go in. Can’t complain too much about the rest.

Old Friend basically confirmed with his "like" earlier in the thread. My question is this. There are plenty of men's basketball positions to be filled or created in between graduate assistant and assistant coach. Take a look at the complete coaching staff linked below. I would think a "Director of Player Development" position or something like that could be created. I know there are NCAA restrictions on the number of assistant coaches but are there any restrictions on total staff? IU fandom as a whole if IU basketball misses the tournament this year:

You can see how different these teams are when you watch the ball pressure. Purdue gets up in your face and doesn’t let you get comfortable. We do nothing but let them get comfortable. I would hardly even call it “pressure” as it looks like we slack off everyone.

The flip side is we’re hitting threes at a clip that’s unheard of this season. All in all, I’ll take the offensive performance this half any day even with the missed bunnies. Defense needs to tighten up a lot though.

Offense has been operating pretty well but this has to be one of the worst defensive performances of the season.

It's only "scrutiny" when the team is losing. Nobody complains about the rockstar status and all that comes with it when the team is winning.
