^^^This Additionally, how about looking at it from the perspective of the players? I'm sure the players love the idea of spending consecutive days in DC/NYC considering many of these kids have probably never even visited. Yes, having the tournament primarily in Indy/Chicago is best. However every few years in DC or NYC is a novelty for the plenty B1G alum in these major metropolitan areas. Which will bring in additional revenue for the conference.

With Stevens flipping to PSU and our depth chart being wide open at QB, maybe we are more attractive to Peters if he wants to get on the field early.

Ouch this one seriously hurts. Can't lose an in state guy like this. If Wilson can't land a big name transfer its going to be very tough to win the next few years without depth at the most important position on the field. God forbid but if Sudfeld goes down again in 2015 there is no way the team can make progress. This is concerning as far as Wilson goes. He can't even sell to QB recruits the idea of building the offense around them.

This would be a very bad decommit. We always talk about how we have to keep kids instate. Losing a top, instate QB recruit (for a second time...) is not good momentum. Wilson might have been able to survive this sort of loss early in his tenure, but considering our QB situation with the injuries and transfers, he cannot afford losing a prospect like this in the scheme of building his team. As it is now Stevens could easily be the 2016 starter. After four years we shouldn't be at the point where we are so reliant upon an incoming QB recruit. For an offensive guru as a coach, we should have a stable of good system fit quarterbacks who are capable to lead the team if the main guy goes down. We do not, and given QB is the most important position on the field, it severely hurts the overall development of the team. Not having a starting caliber QB ready might as well be considered starting over. We can talk about getting another prospect, but it would be very difficult to get someone as good as Stevens from the 2015 class. And 2016, Wilson might not have the luxury of being able to sell to a kid we are going to build the offense around you...

Diamont seems like a great kid, but I have yet to see a D1 caliber pass, much less for the B1G. I feel bad for the defense because they are playing their butts off, but the passing game is absolutely pathetic right now.

We don't lose to BGU and some of the players that helped us win today maybe don't play. Everything happens for a reason! Either way the B1G is wide open and Maryland had a big win today as well against Syracuse. Big game for each team. We have a chance to get some serious momentum started here. Special teams didn't help us out much with a couple of terrible punts and missing a very mailable FG. There's either one of two issues here: we are not recruiting B1G caliber players or our coaches are not properly developing our guys. No excuse for how terrible some of those punts and kicks were. No excuse for how bad and lost our corners looked against mid-major receivers. No excuse for how our defensive front couldn't generate a pass rush. Was there one play on defense where a player did something that stood out on an individual level? I didn't see it. If you're a B1G team playing a MAC team, even if you are getting beat there should be a few plays where pure talent wins out. We saw that on offense with Wynn, Coleman and Sudfeld. Such plays where nowhere to be found on defense which makes me think we have a talent problem as well as a coaching problem.
