You never put your coach in lame duck status. Extend or fire. 6-6 or better and I would think it will be the former. Lame duck status for the coach is just handicapping him and delaying the inevitable firing that will happen with the reduced ability to recruit. -

Hopefully Holt improves his strength as he was pushed around in the post quite a bit last season. Other than that, I really like him as a player and think he can be really good for us.
