Emmitt Holt dismissed from team
Hurryin' Hoosiers replied to Naturalhoosier's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
I would bet he was warned after his first incident. Thus, I would think he would have known he was on zero tolerance and understand the repercussions of further incidents. From the outside looking in, it seems he had the i don't care, i'll do what i want mentality and it didn't exactly work out for him. Can't really compare to other students. Holt wasn't dismissed from IU, he was just dismissed from the team. -
Emmitt Holt dismissed from team
Hurryin' Hoosiers replied to Naturalhoosier's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
Sounds like he still doesn't think he did anything wrong. Just thinks he is in trouble because he was held to a higher standard due to being on the basketball team. It's still breaking the law regardless of whether or not other students get away with it. -
(2016) PF Tony Bradley Jr. to North Carolina
Hurryin' Hoosiers replied to ccgeneral's topic in Indiana Basketball Recruiting Forum
of course it would further his education.. he'd get his education while still having enough time to play video games, go out drinking, hook up with chicks and anything else he can think of in the excess of spare time that is now afforded to him. -
(2016) PF De'Ron Davis to IU

so if pap pm requests turned into something cruel, then would that be a pap smear? -

I disagree to the disagree lol. I think something had to be done. Obviously Davis and HMP getting booted didn't send Holt enough of a message. -

People over 21 can possess alcohol so they probably wouldn't be in trouble unless they actually bought the alcohol. -
Analysis: The latest on Camion Patrick
Hurryin' Hoosiers replied to IndyHutch's topic in Indiana Hoosiers Football
Not sure Mister would be able to switch to another team this close to the season and not be completely behind the 8 ball so to speak. Might as well transfer to another Div 1 school and take your 2nd year on the bench. -
(2016) PF T.J. Leaf to UCLA

Hardly comparable to what Alford did. Crean isn't trying to cover up or defend holt/bryant and their offense was much less severe -

Still waiting on my PM....this is worse than the line at the Apple Store on new iphone release day -
Nothing directly but goes to the morals of a person. Not saying he's guilty of rape but he's no role model.

One recruiting battle that I'm glad IU lost.

(2016) JUCO WR Taj Williams to TCU
Hurryin' Hoosiers replied to Hoosierfan222's topic in Indiana Football Recruiting Forum
If Camion makes the grades and we get Taj, then one would think we might look like a pretty good landing spot for top level QB -

Analysis: Is Kevin Wilson on the hot seat?
Hurryin' Hoosiers replied to IndyHutch's topic in Indiana Hoosiers Football
You trying to say Lynch and Hep are better than Wilson? Hep wasn't around long enough to know but appeared to be good so I can give you that much. Lynch took over a good team and thoroughly ran it into the ground. Made seniority the determining factor in playing time and had an entire program full of players that felt entitled. Had more success but left Wilson with a program in worse shape than when he found it. Hard to know if Wilson really wanted Mallory on his staff or if it was forced on him due to his dad being the former coach but he at least has addressed the issue and brought in a DC with a history of success. -
"Indiana makes the cut for a pair of 2016 prospects"

I don't think the original poster was trying to differentiate between school and coach as they are interchangeable in this context -
where can i sign up for that virtual reality experience?

He's saying it should be the player wanting to be picked by the school rather than the school wanting to be picked by the player. -

In a common scenario where a recruit is choosing between 2 schools and where coaching staff is important to him, which coach has a major leg up on landing the recruit? A) Coach with a contract long enough that you would be coached by him during your college career B) Coach with a contract for 2 years with a decision likely coming after 1 year You're going to have a hard time convincing me that recruiting for Coach B is going to go very well.
