Rutgers went full 'IU football' mode to end that half. Glad to see us on the plus side of that scenario for once. :) -

Okay the opening onside kick drew me in. Defense playing solid again. Diamont looks less terrible. If we can carry this defensive progression into next season and get the offense back on track...that would be a cool combination. -

I hate to say it, but my attention will be focused on the big $EC game. I'll DVR this game and channel flip over in case we can actually score any points though. -
NO MORE B.S., FIRE WILSON!

Heck OP is aiming low. I bet that Nick Saban is bored and itching for a challenge. Indiana football would be right up his alley! -
NO MORE B.S., FIRE WILSON!

Our passing game felt out of sync even with Nate in there. I was questioning our ability to go bowling before he got injured. I don't put all of that on Nate though, It seemed to me that our receivers were not doing a great job of getting open. Just based on the number of times Nate had to pull the ball down and scramble. -
IU vs PSU Post Game Thread

Yeah, I'm sure losing FIFTEEN STRAIGHT Big Ten games and refusing to fire George Belu had NOTHING to do with Mallory getting fired. I'm not sure why you keep pedaling this narrative. If he kept going to bowl games, he would not have gotten fired. Could they have given him more time to turn it around? Sure. But to act like they fired him straight off from the 6 bowl games in 8 years period is blatantly false. Maybe you used the Men In Black memory eraser for 1995 and 1996? -

Not very often, at least not that I recall. Seems like it is always one or other, not both. -

It has been 4 weeks since Suds got hurt, including a bye week. And this is the best Wilson can come up with 4 weeks later? It feels like we are getting worse, not better. Diamont obviously is in over his head but I don't think this coaching staff has done him any favors either. Pathetic. -
I want that 3.5 hours of my life back.

Blocked FG returned for a touchdown plz. K thx.

I've watched a lot of bad IU football in my day but I don't think I've EVER seen a more impotent, ineffective, pathetic showing compared to what I'm seeing today. Wow. * - talking about the offense obviously
-
Well that was an interesting half of football. :ninja:

Really?
-
Run, run, run...we aren't good enough to win by being ultra-conservative.
-
Not feeling too thrilled about this game but I'll be watching as always.

Congrats to AJ. I pretty much witnessed his entire IU career while I was a student. Great guy, enjoyed watching him compete.

Stop with the fire Wilson nonsense

Honestly I struggle to truly see how the term "hot seat" really is all that applicable when it comes to the head football coach at IU. Obviously we do fire that guy every few years. That isn't to say the coaching moves are not always warranted, it is more of a statement of these things being done out of fan apathy rather than fan discontent. Let me frame it this way, I became an IU football fan in 1987. Within the 1986 to 1993 timeframe, IU went bowling 6 times. The 1987 team seriously contended for the Rose Bowl. The 1993 team ended up 5-3 in the Big Ten with two very close losses to Penn State and Ohio State. So I came to Bloomington in the fall of 1994 feeling kind of upbeat about IU football and hoping to witness some good things. On September 3rd of 1994 I attended my first home football game as a student. We went up 7-3 early in the game against Cincinnati and the first thing I heard in the stands was some sarcastic "Rose Bowl, Rose Bowl" chants. That team actually started out 5-1 and in my own personal experience, people kind of laughed at my enthusiasm. The moment we lost to Northwestern at home that year (which little did we know, Gary Barnett's squad would win the Big Ten the next two years) the fan perspective instantly went back to "same old IU". I guess the point I'm trying to get at here is people act like we deserve better which look, I always want better for the football program but it is hard for me to shake the memory that even when we had it better, we did not appreciate it. Maybe it isn't much of a point at all, but I wanted to share a bit of my own experience as a fan.
