Just an observation.  Last year we were talking bout Vonleh, Jeremy, Austin, etc.  We really didn't embrace that team.  This year I'm seeing Rojo, Z, Thriller Priller, etc.  You give start calling people by nicknames when you have a vested interest with them.  Love that the fans have bought into this team!

A few years ago I was in St. Thomas and decided to go on a snorkling boat trip.  I am wearing an IU t-shirt and the boat captain yells "Go Hoosiers"  A conversation was struck and he was an alumni.  Sitting in a tropical paradise and he just went on and on about how much he loved Btown!

I sat in the bar last night and watched three games (Southern Indiana with IU, U of L and UK fans) at pretty much the same time.  FYI the new SEC channel was terrible!   I saw IU with some swag, high-fives and a little posturing by Nick.   I then watched U of L's Harrell who ran his mouth constantly and reading lips, he clearly said "stupid mother ….. (you know the rest). Screaming, cursing and yelling the entire game. He literally was sickening to watch at least for me.   So how much swag is too much or is my feminine side showing too much?

I'm considering performing an exorcism of some of the fans posting here. How can you expect anything positive if you are always negative? Every team has good and bad and we have had our share of bad. But I a HOOSIER fan, good or bad and I will always want, wish and hope for the very best for IU.

I know you are young. I get it. I know as being part of the Hoosiers Basketball Team you are popular with the whole campus. I also know that just a couple years ago, some men just the age you are now, took on the rebuilding of Hoosier basketball. They lost a lot of games, they worked their tails off and still lost. But don't think for one minute that the Hoosier Nation wasn't proud of them. They CHOSE to wear the candy stripes with dignity and fortitude even if it meant losing. Their time came to them. The work, the sacrifice and the "team" coming first. I don't think there was anybody who is a Hoosier fan that didn't burst with pride on a December night when the "down and out" Hoosiers beat the ##1 Kentucky team in Assembly Hall. That team was ranked #1 several times the next season. Yes, they fell short of a title but the Hoosier Nation was still proud to call them "OUR TEAM Those young men are gone but they left a legacy to you. You are HOOSIER NATION. Don't tear down everything those men rebuilt. It is with PRIDE that you are chosen to wear the candy stripes. Skill is nothing without character to go with it.

Indiana Basketball starts this week!! GO HOOSIERS! Regardless of all the stuff going on, I'll LOVE my HOOSIERS until I die!

Nothing better as an IU fan than a game in Assembly Hall! Never have I felt such mind numbing torture and heartfelt bliss as during the games that I have attended in that mighty hall!

My thoughts exactly. How is this not an unfair recruiting advantage?

I live in Southern Indiana and I am always disappointed in the availability of apparel here. I see UK and UL stuff all the time and wish that IU would market more fan stuff.

I have a sad story!  My office at work was covered with IU stuff.  Posters, banners, pictures, mugs, ticket stubs, etc.   My boss made me take it all down a couple months ago.  She said it was too distracting.  Ticked me off, cause I had been collecting stuff in my office for years with a lot of the items being gifts from co-workers who knew I was crazy about the Hoosiers.  I firmly believe that it is a conspiracy as she is a UK fan!!

One more thing that I thought was funny, Purdouche could only round up 6 former players for their team!

I went last night to the game and I must say that I had a blast!  IU fans outnumbered Purdouche fans at least 10 to 1.  It was great seeing those guys play again. ​The last six minutes of the game was real barn burner and Elston had a nice dunk from a lob from Jordy that made the crowd happy!   Thoroughly enjoyed the event and plan to go back next year!

I will be there tomorrow rocking the IU gear.  GO HOOSIERS!

College basketball all day   IU vs KY and the Wat shot @ 6pm IU @ Michigan for the Big Ten Title @ 9:30   I think I will be a couch potato on Sunday :yahoo:  :yahoo:  :yahoo:  :yahoo:

Taking my granddaughter to Spring Mill State Park for a picnic today.  Tonight it's a cookout with friends, fireworks and adult beverages.  Hope everyone has a safe and fun Independence Day!!!
