Objectivity is always highly subjective when you get right down to it.  Especially in cases like this.  One guys objectivity is another guys subjectivity.

Be curious to see how some Hoosier fans would react if they get their wish of an "IU guy" and then that experiment fails too.  Gonna talk about him like you do our current coach too?  I mean, hey... it's that "be careful what you wish for" type thing.  Might be kinda funny to see some people get their wish and then see how they act if that guy doesn't get it done too.  Just saying...  This is all silly talk anyhow, nothing is changing anytime soon anyway.

No doubt, you're right on that, and this is probably the best board as far as keeping things in check.  I was referring more to the examples you see on other sites, one of which I counted 14 different threads on firing CTC, all titled differently yet saying the same thing.  That's a moderator issue if there ever was one.     I'm fine with people voicing their opinions, and when you start getting opinions that all say the same thing, then stick them into one thread so it all stays together and doesn't corrupt the rest of the board for those who don't share the negativity.

To be honest, and I'm really not trying to bash here, but on any given message board it is the moderators who truly set the tone for the board.  If they allow the constant complaining and negativity, then that is the tone the board will take.  If the moderators refuse to allow that tone, then guess what?  You don't have to read it, because you've controlled it through moderation.

I agree with her point of view, especially as it pertains to coach.

IMHO, this team mirrors West Virginia a lot, only WVA has no seniors.  Look at what they did last night.

It will be longer than you want it to be, which will make many of us very happy.

Turn the TV on the channel the game is on, grab something to eat and drink, then sit down and watch it.  Nothing special.

We suck.  Seriously.   Don't get me wrong.  Been a big supporter of Tom Crean, and still am for that matter.  This team is an enigma.  I don't get them.  Best team I've ever seen that can't play a lick of basketball.  Yeah, coaching factors into that, coach has to shoulder some blame.  However, we've got talent that acts like it has never bounced a basketball before.   Coach, own your mistakes.  Come out, admit what you're doing isn't working and tell us how you intend to fix that.  Bench the players that aren't cutting it, I don't care who they are.  Stop playing cupcake teams to pad the record and start playing some tough teams.  That's just a start.   Players, act like you give a flying rip.  If you don't, then leave.  Show us you can protect a basketball.  Yogi, stop playing daredevil with the ball and play under control.  You're too wild and that makes you useless to us at this point, because even if you score 30, your out of control actions costs us in the end.  Sheehey, act like you've got a set consistently, not just whenever the urge hits you.  You're largely out to lunch your senior season.  Play consistently, every game, and every play of every game.   That's all I'm saying at this point.  I'm outta here.

Time to see this for what it really is.  We've got a tremendous group of athletes that simply cannot play basketball.

Does anybody know if this renaming has a time frame on it?  In other words, in exchange for the $40 mil, did IU agree to put the donor's name on it for 10 years? 20 years?  Forever? Reason I ask, is for those who don't really care for the renaming (I'm one of them), maybe an agreement like that would give an out clause to possibly return to the original Assembly Hall name, or rename it after someone else at that later time.

Somebody get a court order to keep a lame name like that off the Hall.  I can't stop laughing at the sound of that ludicrous name.
