I think I'm way behind. What is the Van Zyl fiasco? I know he's a '19 kid we just offered and is playing overseas, but I don't really know anything else about him.

I don't think using the wordmark that has been on our warmups for 40+ years on our jerseys would mess with the tradition.

I've wanted that for a few years now. If we can do that on the football uniforms and helmets, why not on the basketball side?

I like the idea of modernizing the uniforms over time. There have always been little tweaks, and this one is just a bit bigger. Anyway, I really like the font on the new uniforms. It's the block style with a slight alteration, which makes it a bit more unique. I think the shorts and jersey would go better together if the shorts didn't have the piping on the waist. Keep it on the bottom only, and it acts as an homage to the candy stripes, albeit horizontal. Then minimalist above the bottom stripes with the slightly altered font, and good to go. As you can tell, I can be a bit of a uni nerd.

It was Greg Frey. He went to UM a couple years ago and is at Florida State now.

Count me in the no-black-alternate camp. For the football program I'm all for changing it up as much as they want, but would prefer to stick to the school colors. The new uniforms look pretty good in close ups, but I don't know if they'll play well on TV. I don't think the sublimated stripes will be noticeable on TV except for those moments when they do close ups. I'm also not a big fan of crimson jerseys on crimson pants, but it's fine. I like the white on white look, though.

I don't post much, but this thread is awesome. And it got me to thinking about the players we missed on who ended up being happy to miss. Two guys popped into my head - Jelan Kendrick and Josh Selby. I'm sure there a lot more I'm just not thinking about.

Does anyone know what time the lots will open on 9/10 for the BSU game? I'm in large group coming from out of town and we want to get there as early as possible. I tried calling the Athletic Department but haven't been able to get a call back.

  I was also a sophomore during the title run in 02. And I remember attendance the same way. Even as the Davis era went off the rails attendance was good.

The helmets today were awesome. I'd make those standard.

If he keeps this up I'd worry that he'll get a higher profile job. Wish I didn't feel that way about IU football.

Grand Junction is in Westfield. I think they only sell in house at their brewery/brew pub but I'm not certain about that.
