I hear a lot of talk about Noah going pro next year due to potentially being a high lottery pick.  I wonder, has this season at IU, with the poor quality of basketball being played here, harmed his lottery pick status?  Even if it drops him like a stone, does he come back for another season of this?

Didn't get to watch, had to work.  Thank God.  I never want to say that again.  Good thing though, I'd be so drunk I'd crash into HMP.

My expectations for this season were pretty realistic.  The national media, my home state newspapers, even a gas station periodical called B1G basketball preview I purchased all said the same thing.  Due to last season's personnel losses, Indiana is likely to struggle.  Everything I read claimed Indiana would be mid to low end in the B1G.  The season started exactly as they predicted, and is going to end that same way.  I knew this going in yet, I began to believe they could be more after beating Wisc., coming close with Mich St., and beating Michigan.  Is it wrong of me to be so upset that this season has turned out exactly the way we all knew it would?  Am I a hypocrite because I expected more even though the numbers were telling the truth?  I don't think so.  I believe Indiana has to be held to a higher standard.  There is a definite reputation to protect.  To me, this season, despite all that I knew would happen, is unacceptable.  The quality of play is poor.  Forget the coaching, forget the quality of our recruits.  The quality of basketball being played by this team is poor.  That, I have a real problem with.  

    Also, they were not the overall #1 seed last year.  Had they been, we might have been talking final four.  Nope, they blew that chance in the conference tournament.   I see now, this has been addressed.  My apologies.

So, I been drinking and can't read so good.  Can someone call ESPN and the Big 10 network and tell them I think they have the game scores mixed up on their bottom line tickets?  They have IU losing.....HaHa!  Very funny ESPN!  As if Indiana would lose to lowly Penn St. at home!!!  What a bunch of jokers those guys!

Gonna agree with this.  For a program like Indiana, making a 68 team tournament should be an afterthought.

Wait, so your saying that you think Yogi Farrell has not improved after last season?  I'm going to go ahead and assume that you forgot he was the starting PG last year.  And I have to disagree about the B1G title as well.  It was even better last year and we took it outright.  Heck, Michigan went to the Ncaa title game and Ohio St. Made the 8.

No worries, I don't type fast enough anyway.  By the time I get off a reply, the moment has long since passed.  Tonight was even worse, I went over to another site (sorry) and was commenting on the game.  It seemed weird.  What I didn't realize was, I had paused my DVR while going to the bathroom but, never caught it up again when I returned.  Long story short, I was commenting on game action that happened 10 minutes prior.  So I guess maybe it's not so critical that I was left out today.  Yep, that happened.

Hey, is EG really that bad defensively or did he have a bad night?  I guess I never really paid attention.  Dude, he was sooo slow!  If he's really that bad on D I gotta agree he shouldn't have been on the floor.  Hope he just was tired or something.  I honestly never knew he was so slow on his feet.

Anyway, this game was tough on me.  I pretty much guaranteed we would win.  The result sucked no doubt but, was compounded for me because I thought I saw so much improvement in our overall game in the first half.  We did so many good things, we finally played as though we WERE maturing.  I absolutely loved what Troy HMP and Jeremy were able to show.  It was everything I always said could happen.  Then Minnesota woke up.  We had a couple guys have tough games and the pressure got us.  Now I know everyone is going after the coaching staff again but I don't think that lost the game. No, not this time. Sorry.  The Credit in this one has to go to the Gophers.  They came out in the second half and suffocated us, SUFFOCATED with their defense.  They pressed, pushed, blocked out and rebounded like a much better team.  Eventually that pressure got to us and affected us on both ends.  We were confused and tentative.  I don't care if we had John freaking Wooden on our sideline.  We got out played.  So what now?  I really don't know.  Like many others I figured we had 3-4 losses to give.  I did not expect this to be one.  Hopefully Northwestern showed their true colors tonight and we get another road win from Wisky or Mich.  Otherwise, we r out.

Couldn't get on all game.  Or last game.  Or Nebraska.  I'm not going to complain yet but I really am starting to wonder if I'm being frozen out for some reason.  Mysteriously, I'm able to get on as soon as the game ends, to see 14+ pages on the game thread.  I know it sucks for you guys too, hope you can get it fixed.

The Gopher hockey team plays at Mariucci arena in St. Paul since '93.  They did play in Williams back in the day but, both the Hoops floor and the ice rink are removable.  The raised floor did not ever cover the ice to my knowledge.  Have been there several times for hockey events between the Gophers and the next NATIONAL CHAMPION Wisconsin Badgers.

I hear he only practiced about 20 min. on Thursday and Friday, whatever that's worth.  Looked winded to me in that triple overtime game.
