I’ve re-watched the play a number of times and it simply baffles me. He’s definitely fouled, and he definitely has two feet behind the 3 point line. I wonder, because the ball was long out of his hand when the contact took place, does it then become a non-shooting foul? If it is, it’s a rule change I didn’t know about. Trying to sleep but need to ask this before I fall out. Hopefully someone will have an answer in the morning. Does anyone know yet why Juwan didn’t get foul shots after it appeared he was hit while shooting a 3? Does anyone with officiating knowledge have some insight into the call there? Why a side out? Yes it did. Winston hit an absolute prayer with 30 seconds left in OT, when we were up 4. Made us send De’Ron Davis to the line to seal it. Two biggest free throws of his life. I feel it’s also necessary to point out we had 3 turnovers in overtime. One of those came on a terrible, terrible timed fumble by Al, immediately following Winston’s 3.
