We had our first band concert tonight so I couldn't follow the game. It's great to come home to an 8-1 lead! Let's go Mets!

  I think you're the first person I've ever heard say that about the Mets. Usually people don't waste the energy hating them... 

  As a Mets fan, it's too confusing whenever Schwarber comes up to bat.

  I know the feeling. I have P/T conferences, but I have to be there from 4-7:30... Luckily the Mets game doesn't start until 7!

  They're ok. Nothing too special but they'll do in a pinch.     I agree, though I'd take Zombie or Gumball over pretty much anything.

Had a Lakefront IPA (from Milwaukee) today. Not bad. Also, has anyone had the Upland Octoberfest? I just got a six pack but haven't had one yet.

  Watching the interviews with Oladipo after make me miss him way too much. He has more character and respect for the team in his left pinkie toe than a lot of players out there combined.

  McRobbie should be about research grants and stuff. He's the president of an academic university that has athletic programs, not an athletic program that happens to have a few academic activities. I might get burned for this but I think it's crazy that I've seen some people on here call for McRobbie to lose his job because he has other focuses in the university that JUST athletic success.

Also on a positive note, you can hear the Crabb Band really well and they sound great!

Nah that's only most of the time.

  On away trips, anytime that we aren't in rehearsal or at the game is basically free time. Usually that involves hanging out at the hotel (if we're far away from campus) or trying to meet up with the home team band (if we're close to campus). 

  The Marching Hundred was there last year. Their band was awesome and we had an awesome time, but I was extremely underwhelmed by the town itself. The bars were super lame and the people in them weren't much better...

Some of you may or may not know, but last night marked the start of the Jewish High Holidays. Today is Rosh Hashanah (literally "Head of the Year"), the start of the Jewish year 5776. In about 10 days we'll have Yom Kippur, the day of repentance. But to everyone out there, Jewish or not, I want to wish you a happy, healthy, sweet year (that hopefully comes with a bowl game and an Elite Eight)! L'Shana Tova!

  And America exists today because of the French, which is one of the more secular countries in the world.

  Don't we have somewhere between 7-14 of our veteran players suspended for the game? I'm not trying to make any excuses for that horrible display of football, but I don't think that this is a completely accurate representation of our team.

  I had never seen it before, apparently it's pretty rare?
