I take issue with pretty much everything you said (The refs "gave" Duke two titles? You're not given a title. Ever.), but I wanted to point this out. Claiming that K covered up a sexual assault is a disgusting accusation to make. There were rumors (100% rumors that were never officially reported, IIRC) that Sulaimon had sexually assaulted a girl. Duke completely investigated those claims and found them to be false. Sulaimon was kicked off the team, because he was an awful influence with his attitude. He fought back against the coaching staff. He was kicked out of practice on multiple occasions and put in the dog house and didn't see PT as well. You need to be extremely careful about stating that Coach K covered up a sexual assault when it's completely untrue. I understand people don't like Coach K (I do think a lot of the hatred for Duke is unfounded though). There isn't a single person that everybody likes, but he's proven over time to be a winner, a leader, and a good person. Sure he's hypocritical at times. Sure he gets away with more bitching at the refs than most people. He's also possibly the greatest coach ever and he'd take a bullet for any of his players. Anyway, **** off Carolina.

How do you know that Allen was running his mouth throughout the game? Watched it from tip to finish and didn't see him jaw or anything.

Yeah, he hired an agent. I was surprised by that move, but I think he has a child he needs to support. He needs a paycheck whether that's coming from the NBA or Europe

I mean Laettner has a point to some extent. The amount of abuse college basketball players take at times is astounding. When Redick played there were people with shirts that said "I'm going to name my kid JJ and beat him every day" and signs that said they were going to rape his 11 year-old sister or however old she was. I'm all for creating a hostile environment, but some things just cross the line. Also, I find the concept of hating a player, who is usually 18-22, a little odd. I have a lot of players that I dislike, but I know none of them off the court at all, so I can't honestly say that I hate them. I may root against the team the play for, but I also understand that not everyone is a fan of the teams I support. Sports wouldn't be fun it they were.

Hoping for another grad transfer to have the same impact that Nick/Max have had is wishful thinking in my opinion.

  Transfers outside of MBB/FB work differently if I understand the system correctly. As long as your coach releases you, you are free to play immediately.

I used to dislike Bomani Jones, I thought he was a hater of a lot of teams. The more I listened the more I came around on him. He's extremely intelligent and well spoken. His credentials speak for themselves. His show is so much better than the normal stuff you catch on sports radio.   LeBatard and Stugotz are the absolute cream of the crop. LeBatard absolutely understands that sports radio in itself is idiotic. He points out the stuff we obsess over and try to analyze, instead of having conversations of actual substance. Stugotz plays the role of the dunce perfectly. They have a great time. Such a phenomenal show.      Excluding Zach Lowe, Bill Barnwell (well pretty much anyone left over form Grantland for that matter), Rachel Nichols, and maybe a few others, ESPN personalities are awful. They are all about their "hot takes" and making outlandish claims to draw in viewers. It's a business and it's not a bad plan from a viewership standpoint. It just results in an annoying product.    Also I saw someone mentioned Colin Cohwerd's name earlier, he's the same as Skip and Caly Travis. Just grabbing for headlines.

  "It makes the program look bad"   And to quote MadAboutIndiana   "It makes us look like a bunch of hillbillies."   Booing does not make the program look bad or make anyone look like a hillbilly (Seriously?!?). Sure, maybe it's not going to get the coach fired on the spot, but it is at least a vehicle for fans to express their discontent. Short of writing a letter to the AD (which almost never makes it past the secretary, let alone the Assistant AD) it's the best only method to express frustration. If you pay for a ticket then you have every right to boo the coach. 

  Can I ask what is wrong with booing a coach at a game? You could make an argument for not booing the collegiate players, but what makes a coach untouchable?

  I think you're right on that count. A preferred walk-on is recruited and doesn't have to go through tryouts. I know in the past, not necessarily on IU but other teams, that preferred walk-ons get a scholarship when one is available. Certainly strange if Niego doesn't. Perhaps it has to do with the IU Student Athlete Bill of Rights and if he got a scholarship he'd have to have it for four years? 

  If there was one available, he would have it. That's what it means to be a "preferred" walk-on. 

  Ehhh looked like there was a lot of sh*t talking going on in this game and it got chippy both ways. Tripping used to be my go to move to get back at a player who was a douche. Generally it's hard to catch without replay and isn't that dangerous. Just gets under the other person's skin.

  It's not exactly easy to win a NC either.   Obviously people on here hate Calipari, I get that. He definitely comes across as a douche and coaches at Kentucky. Recipe for hate.   He also is very successful. He wins games and generally does well in the tournament. You can complain that he recruits a bunch of "one-and-dones" and they aren't "real college players" (what does that even mean?!?) all you want, but he is taking advantage of the system in place. If you have an issue with "one-and-dones" then take it up with the NBA's CBA. If you want to rag on Calipari for recruiting those "type of players" then you have to do the same for Duke and Arizona. Heck Kansas tries to recruit the same way, some of their players just haven't been as good once they get on campus.    It's easy to take the moral high ground and say that you don't want to play basketball without traditional four year players, who want to get a degree, and yadayadayada, but the College Basketball landscape isn't the same as it was 10-15-20 years ago. I would jump at the chance for Indiana to be landing top 5 players even if they meant they were only sticking around for a year. If they're in college it's better to have them play for Indiana then against Indiana.
