Unless they get a quality starter/6-7th man this would be a bad move. Or maybe they could package it for a rotation player and move back a few spots. I was hoping they'd go after Malik Beasley before the Teague trade. Now, it's almost certainly a big.

Ehhhh. There's plenty of people who watched Jordan's career and may end up taking LeBron's. For me, LeBron is the better player, just hasn't had the better career yet. Also trying to take a shot at LBJ defense is laughable when he has been one of the best defenders since he came into that league. -
LeBron was given a technical. He just hadn't racked up enough technicals or falgrants to be suspended.

His defense was defintely better in the finals. He still had his lapses, especially off the ball, but he showed he is capable. Curry, Westbrook, and Paul I think are the clear top 3. After that Irving, Lillard, and Wall probably. Kyrie can score just as well as anyone. Just has to become a conistent defender and facilitator. Easier said then done, of course. -
Anyone but Brice Johnson please.

LeBron's chase-down block on Iggy was something else. One of the biggest plays in Finals history.

Come on now, don't try and change the past. Dwight was an absolute monster in Orlando. SVG built a really solid team around him. Howard is still a good defensive center, and a good player when he's engaged. -
The same rankings that have Argentina first and Belgium second? No one ever said they were a bad squad, but they are not the dominant force they once were. Not to mention they didn't send their best squad to Copa. So, bowing out of the tournament isn't that big of a surprise like you seem to think.
-
They haven't won a World Cup since 2002. They haven't won the Copa America since 2007. They have never won the Olympics, which doesn't mean a whole lot in soccer anyway. Brazil is not what they once were. Spain was the dominant force 8-10 years ago. Now it is Germany. You can be as wrong as you want to be, though.
-
Ehh Brazil hasn't been a world force in quite some time now.

So, by your logic you can't make the players around you better unless that season results in a title? LeBron is a top 10 player of all time. Where he falls on that list, I'm not sure. For me, he is a better player than Kobe (as an example), but Kobe had the better career. I think those categories often get blurred into one.
-
Top 35? He doesn't make the players around him better? Did you see the 07ish Cavs team he propelled to 60 wins and the finals?
-
That's a misleading stat. 3-4 passes were good passes that went straight through his teammates hands. One was on an attempt to grab an offensive rebound. The ball was going to go out or end up with the Warriors, so he made a play on it. There was an egregious offensive foul called on him as well. LeBron is still the best/second best player in the league, he just happens to be playing against the best team of all time. Considering how many games/minutes he has logged that's extremely impressive, The Warriors are just the worst possible match-up for the Cavs. If the Cavs are playing OKC or San Antonio they could very likely win. Just not the case against the Warriors.
-
Ehhh I don't think that makes much sense for fantasy basketball. You're better off using individuals. You'd also have to try and limit the conferences you can select players from. Otherwise you'll end up with players from Tennessee Tech A&M School of the Blind who drop 40 point against nobodies.

Now that all of the pieces have fallen I thought it would be a good idea to start a new thread to discuss the rotation, starting lineups, etc. Also, this thread should allow everyone to easily look back and see who wrong they were after the season is over. My first thought is that 9 players will see essentially all of the minutes: RoJo, JBJ, OG, Hartman, Bryant, Davis, Newkirk, CuJo, and Morgan. Green and McSwain will have to try and practice/play their way into the rotation early in the season.

I'm just not sold on this, yet. Hopefully he turns out to be a good player, but JuCo to D1 is a big leap. His stats say he isn't a great shooter. If he can play D, finish at the rim, and has a respectable shot, he will likely get time. Maybe this year is more of a transition year and he's a reliable guy in 2017-18.

Whether he actually is or not, he definitely comes across as a pompous ******* on twitter.

If only all of their products didn't cost a ridiculous amount. I actually really enjoy Adidas, though.

Bolden is not going to start and he won't be the first man off the bench either.

You can walk at graduation without being completely finished with a degree. I do not know all of the specifics on that, I just know that it is possible.
-
Maybe if they had the first or second pick. Hard to trade a top 10 NBA player for nothing but picks.
-
There is 0% chance they take Sabonis or Poeltl with the 3rd pick. If I were the Celtics, I would be looking to move that pick,

Leadership doesn't have to necessarily be all these traits you described. It can simply be showing up to practice early, putting work in, staying late, giving advice or answering questions, taking a freshmen out for dinner, etc.

Thank you for agreeing that the roster is the issue and not Vogel.
-
Except for the fact that he is. He is widely regarded as being in the top tier of the league. For coaches with 500 games coached, Vogel has the 19th best winning record. Of all time. He has a better winning percentage than Doc Rivers. Since Vogel has been the coach of the Pacers 4 different NBA coaches have won a championship and they aren't going to be able to hire one of those guys. Why keep Vogel? The players liked him. The fans liked him. He won consistently.
