Thoughts on WSU Coach Gregg Marshall
Uwe Robb replied to Feathery's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
I think Grant was making 1.95 in that range and Barnes was making 2.4. I would think that Bama and Texas would offer more than the current coaches were making, but I could just be speculating. -
Thoughts on WSU Coach Gregg Marshall

Greg and WSU did the one thing that Texas has not been able to do. BEAT KANSAS!!! I am guessing he is going to Alabama to get a bid of somwhere around 8 yr 25 mil and then he is going to run over to Texas and they will say okay 9 yr 31 mil. His salary will almost double and that will be the reason he will not coach WSU seniors next year. This is just my take on how I see things going. Feel free to bombard me and tell me how stupid I am in 2 weeks when none of this happens. -

@#1 No worries, I was just pulling your chain. I hope nobody takes my comments personal. My degree is from the state of Kentucky, I get confused on well grammar talk lots. -

#IHSAA Boys/Girls State Tournament
Uwe Robb replied to ccgeneral's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
Congrats Barr Reeve. That's one in the books for Southern Indiana let's make it two Reitz!!! -
Good for them. I have much respect for all you guys and gals on campus in Bloomington. It took me 1.5 Victory Laps (5.5 years) to get a B.S. at a small Methodist school in Owensboro, KY. God forbid I was anywhere close to a Nick's or Bluebird. I am 33 would still probably be a Soph or Jr.

Tom Crean Update from Fred Glass
Uwe Robb replied to IU Hoosier41's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
I need my secret decoder ring. I wish he has some way of telling us Help is on it's way in 2016-2017. Do not fear. -
Thanks for clearing that up Hov. I had heard he would be done in 15 months. So I would assume that would be before the season starts, but I also think I heard that on here or on Twitter so may not be true at all.

Tom Crean Update from Fred Glass
Uwe Robb replied to IU Hoosier41's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
They got us by the balls. I give $500 a year to get more points on my priority seating. Guess I will be stuck in the nose bleeds until we get a good enough coach for me to put down $1000. -
Tom Crean Update from Fred Glass
Uwe Robb replied to IU Hoosier41's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
This is maddening. I am not an alumni so I do not see what other good things Fred does for the school, but this alone makes me want him fired along side Crean. -
I totally agree, but if the kid graduates doesn't he have to be enrolled in classes at IU to actually play BBall for IU? That is my question. Where does he stand on his degree and is it legal to just enroll in some UNC type classes if he does have a year of eligibility left?

You realize Chuck would probably jump at the chance to go back home to NY.

If this is true Glass needs to man up and take control.

Hoosier Transfers and Recruiting Targets
Uwe Robb replied to WayneFleekHoosier's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
I am going Max to San Diego St and Stan in a surprise to VCU. He would be good in their full court press. -
I like that lineup a lot. My only question would be Nick Z. Does anybody know what his options are? The way I understood is he is going to graduate in 1 year. Can he do a 2nd Grad degree or something? ** If Nick is gone then I would like to see us go after a PG replacement for Yogi.
-
I liked Max as a Freshmen. Wish kids nowadays didn't think they were entitled to 20+ min a game. I think he would have been a very good Junior or Senior had he made it that far. ** Do NOT think this was a Creaning either. Had heard he really wanted more playing time. Priller and April will be the two that get Creaned IMO.

I don't think having Luke, Hanner and DD kept Crean from signing a Big Man. Look at us now. We were oversigned by 2 as recent as 2 days ago and he was still recruiting Guards and Wings. He is contantly recruiting and constantly oversigned.
-
Would like to do that or Players playing 10+ min per game, but my stupid job keeps getting in the way. One of these days when I hit the Powerball you guys will have a full-time statistician.

Yes, entire roster.
-
Actually UK has 2 Jr's and 3 Sr's on their Roster. The data was pulled off entire Roster, I don't recall but I would say UK's Seniors are GPA builders. Louisville has the lowest - 1 - JR & 1 - SR UNC, Arizona & Mich St. have the highest at a combined 10 - JR's and SR's each.
-
Ran some numbers and here are your averages for Sweet 16 rosters this year, and if I was a betting man I would say these averages would go up once you get to Elite 8 or Final Four Juniors - 3.75 players per team Seniors - 2.87 players per team IU - Next Year Juniors - Devin, Stan, Troy, Colin Seniors - Yogi, Nick, Hanner, Ryan My worry is if you cross out Nick and Yogi, then look at who is leading our team next year.

Got this number from Chronic Hoosier on Twitter. I do not believe it reflects the players that left from Sampson's team. The only part about this number anyone can question is that it does include his 3 draft picks that left early for NBA. But Chronic said that was still only 3/27 players. So still right at the 1/4 mark.
