Feel like I should put my true feelings out here after a few beers. This dude truly deserves to be fired. He stinks by almost every standard. He deserves credit for developing a few players and that may be a stretch. Tjd ware and hood. Everyone else kind of struggled or regressed or stayed same. The proof is in the results. For four years we were capable of beating almost anyone and we damb sure could lose to everyone. He was a great player and that is great. Bad coach and that sucks. Just remember playing for knight and coaching with knight are very different things. The interview with pat was interesting when he said the first time he seen behind the curtain was when he was assistant at tech. What i am kind of alluding to is if tomorrow isnt going swell I am not sure the fans just chill. I think that is their hope. They are stupid imo. This entire retirement plan should have happened over the Christmas break when we were scraping by the cupcakes. I see it different. We wanted dusty but let's face it he was a risk. Michigan offered a conservative deal knowing they will have the opportunity to just up his deal if he is successful. I think they will do that soon but may wait to see what happens in big tournament? Dusty knew Michigan would be a good gig if he can succeed and had confidence he could knowing the big money will come and a better deal and bigger buyout. That has been my take and it makes sense to me. Having a small buyout hoping iu opens seems like a huge gamble. If we get him I am OK with it but him and iu would be taking a gigantic risk imo. I wouldn't leave a job that I have a real shot at succeeding to leave and go to a major crap shoot like iu is currently. He is likely gone i agree. However with no official word it isn't guaranteed. The media get alot of stuff wrong. We have only been told he is contemplating retirement at the end of the year and he likely won't return.
