I believe it has been confirmed by certain players themselves. Gordon was injured and I think dj white was still trying. You weren't wrong. He had time and showed he wasn't good enough to be a consistent winner. However we were all wrong to want him gone because of how bad iu administration has done since. Crean was way better than Archie and I fear Woodson if given time will make crean and Archie look great. Nobody Backed off! We were excited and were building a program back up! We mostly all knew it was going to take time. Those first couple years weren't great but those kids were competing hard and playing pretty decent ball. Crean wasn't a great coach but Woodson imo makes him look like wooden instead lol. Creans second year team probably beats this seasons team on several nights. Not talent but because Woodson brought a flat uncompetitive team out on many occasions. Something he does often. Were not stupid. Woodson product has zero chance of success even with the fab 5. Give Woodson kentucky team this season I bet our record isn't any better. Woodson is not a Good college coach because the job is hard as he'll and he doesn't have the skill or energy to make it. Here is the problem I believe. It's a potential strategy in this day with the portal but imo it will never work. You need to bring in kids as freshman who develop and play together. You use the portal to get pieces you need to complete what your building and what your team needs. The main reason the portal will not work is the best players don't enter the portal. The best ones go pro. The next level down are really talented players but alot of them are already on a good team and stay put. The good ones who aren't happy who enter the portal will be sought after as the pieces alot of good teams are after. So we with our laughing stock program will have to beat out kansas and dukes of the world to get them. Probably not happening. The rest of the kids are probably alot like x. Talented players but have a bit of baggage with them which is a risk. If Woodson proves me wrong and adds a bunch of talented kids in the portal he then has to be able to get them to connect and play as a team.
