32 The regular season obviously carries more weight to me and most others but with the unbalanced schedules, I hope they play with something to prove. Plus, with me living downtown, I love being able to watch tons of basketball!

Thanks, Kentucky for revealing yourself

When insulting the team for the south, at least spell "doosh" correctly. -

Did you really just call Trey Lyles a "thug"? On what grounds? -
Chapter Two: Now Indiana Needs Depth @ The 5 Spot
HumphreyIN replied to Naismith's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
I actually think we have plenty of depth this year at every position. 5- Bryant, Perea, Hartman if we go small 4- Holt, Davis, Incoming Freshman I don't see the problem. -
I have no idea what was actually said. Just referencing the childish way of handling it.

It seemed like it was a pretty civil discussion on his end. I agree that it isn't a word that shouldn't be used, but I would never let someone else's views upset me so much. It is like when people let jokes upset them... they are JOKES, and if they upset you then you are weak. Just because his views aren't the same as yours, doesn't make him wrong and it sure doesn't make him "uncivil".

Ya, different thing. Calapari wanted to play IU every year in Indy. -

IU wasn't approached about being in the tourney and they won't be in it next year. They all rotate who they play every year, a 3-year commitment, and you can't play someone from your own conference. The truth is, MSU is the premiere team of the BigTen for the past 15 years. -
Official IU vs LIU Brooklyn Game Thread...
HumphreyIN replied to EvilleAngler's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
My two beefs with Crean already.... What is it with this infatuation to play Jeremy Hollowell at point guard? I understand that he thinks he is our second best option at PG but when Yogi is in, there is zero reason to have Yogi setting picks and Hollowell starting the offense. Secondly, the weird substitutions are already happening... Noah comes out and gets two or three quick rebounds and a few points... he looks really good and is dominating their front line. So Crean takes him out after 4 minutes?? It just makes 0 sense. -

(2019) SF Trendon Watford to LSU

http://www.courier-journal.com/article/20090606/SPORTS/906060423/ "Burris also said Christian might not be the best player in the Watford family. Only time will tell, but 8-year-old Trendon Watford looks the part. Despite just finishing the second grade, Trendon is a shade under 5feet3 and weighs 113 pounds. He wears an adult size 10 1/2 shoe. "If you'd look at him, you'd think he was a fifth or a sixth grader," said Ernest Watford, Trendon and Christian's father. "He has long arms and big hands, and he's very skilled with the ball. "That's the next Hoosier. He's going to be a class of 2019 Indiana Hoosier." -
Yep, sorry about that.

Been on him and another kid on his team since the summer before their Freshman year. I can't remember the other kids name though.
-
And just a FWIW. He averaged, 4 points 0 assists and 0 rebounds for a 3-18 Perry Meridian team.
-
What? I can assure you that there are many big high school guards across the country that can't play college basketball.

Thoughts on Creans coaching strategy this year?
HumphreyIN replied to hoosierbb15's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
I expect it to be much of the same. Strange substitution patterns and an offense that struggles in low possession games. But I think we have an exciting team for his style of play. Especially if we shoot the ball better than expected. -

I forgot how much Watford took over down the stretch. Wish he would have watched this game before every other game. -
Jordan Hulls - IUBB Recruiting Coordinator
HumphreyIN replied to ccgeneral's topic in Hoosiers in the Pros
The interviewer is pretty hard on him, haha. Brings up his 6 TO's twice and then talks about his last college game where he didn't hit a 3. -
2 exhibition games. lol. That'll show him!
-
I also think that would be the main reason for Lyle to not come to IU. He knows he isn't going to take Yogi's place.
-
I see it as a 3-man class. Johnson, Hoetzel, and either Robinson or Lyle. I don't see us over-signing by two this year with the group of players we have right now. Also, to the guy who said we need an ELITE PG? We have YOGI! He is only a sophomore and isn't going anywhere anytime soon. If somehow he does leave after his junior year then we have other options at point and another year of recruiting.
-
I love his game. I don't think Devin ends up here now but it does look like this will be a three commit class.
