A similar story that can kind of relate to this is UNC going to the NIT in 2010 a year after winning the national title.

#IUBASE - 4 game series at Texas Tech

This reminds me of the start of the freakin soccer season. Please don't let it be the same outcome. -
The games are still there to do it, just not sure anyone on the team wants it to happen. Looks like they've mailed it in to me. Disappointed to see that from our Hoosiers. Goes to show what solid leadership we are missing from last year. Sent from my iPad using BtownBanners[/quote If the locker room really is broken then yes there is no hope. I wonder if sheehey and yogi playing on USA during the summer when the freshman arrived played a role like said before. Their leadership would have been key.
Why are we comparing Troy to Oladipo? Stanford Robinson is more like Oladipo, he's an explosive slasher! We can have a great team next year as long as everyone on the bench is great. Because who ever is not, CTC will still put them in games at the worst times!
Stan Robinson is nothing close I oladipo. Williams is very similar to what oladipo was when he first arrived on campus. They are both freak athletes. Robinson is not near as athletic.

Hard to watch this Michigan Wisconsin game knowing somehow we beat both of them -
Psyched to see it tonight! Ready to catch up on all the scattered loose ends from last fall. Somehow I have a feeling that the short haired sister that was with the Governor is going to end up showing up again.
Me too. When they showed her ending the governors misery that to me was a foreshadow to something in the future.
I'd add in that the people who are talking like he would never get into the game are over stating it a bit. I mean Cody is playing 17 minutes a night, and it isn't like he is sitting behind a scrub, Al Jefferson is maybe the best offensive center in the NBA, also the worst defensive center, but still. Reggie Evans played 25 minutes a night for the Nets last season, and the only thing he can do in the NBA is rebound. Roy Hibbert got 15 minutes a night as a rookie, and his only discernible NBA talent coming into the league was he was 7'2". Noah will get minutes right out of the gate
Exactly there will be minutes for Noah. He is an exceptional rebounder and with the right direction some nba team can mold him into a very nice player. He won't get any better in my opinion in his current situation. I also don't think zeller is done molding into a nice nba player it's only his rookie season and is playing behind one of the better players on his team. -
Whether Noah is "ready" or not is mostly beside the point and might be completely irrelevant to his decision. Our team right now looks completely dysfunctional. They don't know what they are supposed to be doing on the court. They don't look like they particularly like playing together. What would you do if you were Noah? Sign on for another year with the same group or go become a millionaire?
Take the money and run -
Once again. Why can he not develop his game in the NBA? There are plenty of guys who "weren't developed" enough for the NBA, yet they developed into much better players while in the NBA.
Scouts love his potential and his nba ready body. Noah has size and mass unlike some of the other prospects. They'll develop him in the league. Look at miles plumlee this season. -
He doesn't get a pass, but to suggest firing just one year after what he's done is absurd. And I don't think it's fair to say the team hasn't improved. It's easy to look good against a Chicago State, but appearance against the Big Ten is different. It's like when people confuse athleticism for "talent." People confuse the team looking amazing against Cupcake U and not so amazing against a top 25 team as "not improving." I'm not saying the team has made leaps and bounds, but you can't sit there and honestly believe they've gotten worse. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
I never said the have gotten worse but I just haven't seen any improvement other than Hollowell turning his game around and i don't think he has totally turned it around quite yet. The team has played well in a few games but seem to take 10 steps back after those games. Who would have thought at the beginning of the year we would lose at Nebraska, at home to northwestern, at home to penn state, and get taken to the woodshed at purdue? Maybe they have improved like you said but I just haven't seen any signs.
This topic is silly. This guy resurrected are program from the ashes. Has he forgotten how to coach after the departure of 5 pro players? Is he without fault? No, is he on the floor? No. I know you are tired of hearing it, but this season is a by product of youth. If these freshmen stay four years, you will be building a statue for CTC. Go HOOSIERS! Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners
We can't keep bringing up how he resurrected the program does that give him a free pass? You really isn't much of an excuse anymore 25 games into the season. We should have seen signs of improvement by now right? I haven't seen any improvement from game 1 to game 25 just the same group of guys that turns the ball over 20 times a game with no purpose on offense.
Noah isn't very good on offense right now. Poor at getting position, has one post move that isn't that good, and isn't a very good passer. He's still learning how to play defense too. What helps him in college is the fact that he's just bigger than most. He has all the makings of a potential future star, however, and won't need to necessarily "be ready." Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
I do think you make some fair points I just don't see him getting any better in creans system. Look at zeller.. I may be the only one to think this but I don't think he really got any better from year one to year two -
Anyone remember Georgia in like 07 won the sec tourney and made the dance with a losing record?

I didn't mind the battle round but it's stupid that each player gets to dunk 1 time
this is a good reference and I wonder if it would be enough. Let's say that happens and we jump like that again. Following a similar assumption we top out 4th or so in the BT and get to the sweet sixteen like that team. Though we could compete with anyone we are ranked around #15. A big jump from this year. For this to happen I think Noah has to stay. So after the sweet sixteen year Noah goes pro. Was that our peak? Do we fall back to marginal? Do we fall like this year? Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners
I don't think you can really say until the 2015 and 2016 classes start to take form
