  1. I wish Victor Oladipo still played for the Indiana Pacers so he could come back to IU and work with Jordan Geronimo firsthand in private lessons, and show Jordan everything Victor did to become who he was and is, when all of the scouting services had Victor pegged to be an ordinary college basketball player at best.

I have seen and we all have seen Victor posterize Lebron repeatedly in the NBA Playoffs. Wouldn't we all love to see Jordan Geronimo become that level of basketball player? Jordan has that level of possibility, and Jordan is immersed in a higher level of teaching and coaching than Victor had available to him when Victor Oladipo was stomping the earth wearing the IU jersey.

I like that we have Woodson directing now, because Mike Woodson can really mentor our young student athletes from the perspective of a man who just simply dominated Big Ten basketball almost ridiculously when he played for IU. He did that with amazing athleticism, talent, knowledge and respect for the game, and a will to just overpower using all of those tools to get the win, once, twice, three times, play after play.

I’m not seeing anything. I literally can’t watch the game.  I don’t understand what you aren’t understanding about that.

I won’t say good things about a game I can’t watch anymore than I would say bad things about a game I don’t see

but you still must be able to say something purely positive, not tainted by negativity, based on what you are reading. go on. try it. it feels good.

I don’t know who sold their soul to the devil for this first half but I will gladly put mine up as tribute for the second half.

Im not able to watch tonight sadly. We are having to make some home alterations because the 16 year old puppy has been banned from stairs

you can't watch when Indiana is stomping the sh@t out of a team on the road? sounds about right.

Re: on X not scoring -- X's scoring mostly comes on taking his man off the dribble, so while I'm surprised at him only having 2 shots, the fact that that come with 9 assists isn't surprising.  If you penetrate Syracuse's zone, the zone should have to collapse to react and leave the inside scorers open.

That also probably why Kopp and Stewart's shot totals were up -- they are capable of shooting over a zone.

i wasn't able to catch the game until late into the second half -- any suggestions on why Race and TJD turned it over that much?  Race's would be more concerning considering he isn't expected to score like TJD.

Finally....Galloway is missed and I know there are quite a few posters here who aren't fans of his game.  On offense, while he doesn't score much, he does keep the ball moving and is a good passer;  defensively, I don't think anyone provides more energy than he does.  It's not always the guy with the best ability that performs the best.

Maybe what I miss most about Galloway sitting on the bench is his knowledge and communication and leadership in getting the other underclassmen in the right position like a coach while he is on the floor. Not having him there coordinating could possibly be a contributing factor in reasons why the newer guys on the bench have produced poorly the past two games. Not sure about that, but I could see that being a contributing factor. Maybe he could become more vocally involved from the bench helping some of the younger guys with positioning, awareness, and situational mindset when they are on the floor in the weeks/month(s) he is stuck on the bench waiting for his arm to heal. It is harder to contribute like that from the bench than it is to contribute like that on the floor, but it is possible. He can be so valuable in that way. His communication with everybody on the team on the floor including our top dogs actually has been really good, and has helped a lot even though no box score has a stat line that scores communication on the floor.

  5. TO's @ an unbelievably bad rate, but we destroyed them on the glass, so we really should have won this game in the end. We had our chances, over and over again.

I hope our young guys who got to play significant  points in the game b/c of foul trouble/injuries are able to learn BIG TIME how to win. The rest of the way out it's gong to be balls out/helter skelter like tonight until our young talented players of the future can add a lot more to the effort than they take away from the common goal.
