    Latham

He led the football team in INT's and IIRC he was backup running back to Courtney Snyder at times.  So, starting point guard and backup running back at a big time school.  That's just badass!

    The nation's perspective on IUBB

They were a dynasty in the 40's.   Lots of similarities, except the Bears have only won 2 championships in the past 67 years.   And there are 32 NFL teams right now, more than at any time in the history of the NFL, and 300ish Division 1 college basketball teams.   It is at the very least an interesting comparison though.  Good job!

    The nation's perspective on IUBB

The Bears are second only to the Packers in number of championships won, but the last one the bears won was in 1985.

    Starting 5 after exhibition games?

Start the same 5 that start the first four games, and bring Troy and Stan in off the bench.  We don't need two guys going crazy in their first game back when we are trying to beat the first real team we are playing all season.

    Devin Davis Updates

Thx for the thread.   Poor guy.  He looks exhausted.   Get some rest, Devin.  Get better, and come back as soon as you can do that safely.   Love the way you ball for us.

    IU vs Northwood Post-Game Thread

We can't really afford to lose any more players any time soon.  Can't you just wait another year before you change your name again?

    IU vs Northwood Post-Game Thread

Our guards are good, and we are deeper at that position than I thought.  Blackmon, Johnson, and Yogi are all scoring machines despite long range shots from Yogi and Crossroads not falling tonight, and Z can score too.  Offense showed some decent ball movement at times, and we protected well too.  Yogi is a lot better when he has help scoring points.  Hanner needs help catching the ball.  The game got sloppy at times.   Crean's dribble drive should offer plenty of opportunities for our athletic guards and forwards to score in many ways, but don't expect this offense to look like a Bobby Knight offense.  It's not going to do that.  This offense in the half court is about spacing and forcing a 1-on-1 matchup with kickout options based on the defense collapsing around a drive, or a 3 PT taken if the defender sags.  This season isn't going to become a game-by-game diary of genius chess moves wherein the coach articulates newly scripted sets on the fly and our offense understands and executes those new sets, wrecking every plot a good defense throws in our way.  The Crean offense is good, and we can usually score under Crean, but the Crean offense is vanilla.  Crean isn't rewriting the fundamentals for a new era of basketball.  He is coaching the dribble drive offense.

OK.  If it isn't DeAndre Thomas, and it isn't Jeremiah Rivers, and it isn't Devan Dumes, then I only have one other guess as to who it might be.  Is it Eli Holman?  He's cute.

You've had a lot of boyfriends on the basketball team.  IIRC wasn't this little cutie one of your first loves on the Hoosier boards?

(2014) PF Emmit Holt to IU

Yeh, the more I see/hear from Holt, the more I like this signing a lot.  We need 'D' and I think this man can bring the 'D.'
