  Thank you for saying that.  I get so tired of being the one to make that statement in these threads year after year.   Wisconsin is going to compete for the B1G Ten Title again this year the way they compete for the Title every year.   I for one am sad to see him go, but everybody has to go sometime.  That team he fielded last year was a thing of beauty.  I just wish we had a chance to make up some ground on that head-to-head record he tagged us with.

You poo-pooing upstarts just don't understand the game as it is intended to be played if you see it that way.   The key is dominant pitching, with pitchers who can crush the ball, and a bench that is synchronized with your pen.   That's baseball, boys.   When you get to the playoffs and your mashers are still working the butterflies out, and your ace steps into the batters box and launches one against a future Hall-of-Famer in the third to get the offense untracked, you know you have a team to be reckoned with!

Me too.  Also not a fan of the dh.   I like the strategy involved in batting your pitcher.  And I like pitchers who can hit too.  That's fun.

  I put some badass black synthetic guts on this Fender bass and forgot to take some pics before I sold it the other day.   I am such a dummy!   Whatevs.  I think its badassedness still comes through.   Bought it from a cute dumb lesbian girl who put high tension strings on it that tore right through the saddle, so i had to remove that and then replace it and fix the damage.  Not fun at all.  Until the project was finished.   And again, I am an idiot who forgot to take pictures of the awesome finished product.  Oh well.   I miss that thing already.  It practically played itself.

  I agree we should be ranked.  My point is that sportswriters don't often necessarily see things from the IU point of view.  I think we could have been ranked before now, but that was not the point of my conversation, to say whether I think we should be ranked or not.

  I think when talking about sportswriters ranking us, it is fair to add that a consideration of the strength of opponents is often part of the math, and injuries to our own squad could also likely not be a plus for us in that conversation.

We beat Illinois minus Ray Rice and Tracy Abrams, their starting back court done for the season.  Yes, they had some depth going into the season, and the replacements are playing well, but now they are pretty much replacing their starters with 3rd stringers now jostling for backup roles behind the young guys on the team who were supposed to be backups.  Illinois is in 10th place, and falling. Was that a B1G road win for us?  Yes.  It was huge.  Is that the kind of win that is going to make the sportswriters do a Scooby "Huh?" and catapult us past teams those guys picked to finish higher than 9th in their conferences?   Idk.   I am glad we took care of business in Champaign finally.  We always seem to let that one slip through our fingers.   Let's go get Maryland now.  And introduce them to B1G Ten basketball at Assembly Hall.  And exact some payback for that National Title Game, the only National Title Game I have ever seen Indiana lose.
