I don't see why it wouldn't. Stan can come off as arrogant, but overall, from what I've seen so far, the younger guys have respect for the veterans. Yogi is definitely seen as a leader of this team and as long as he is upfront with him and lays down what is expected of him in order to return to full potential and be a key player in the lineup, I think Stan will follow. Hearing what is being said about the program and being under the gun of the recent events, he doesn't have much of a choice except to abide by the policing by Yogi. I think Yogi taking Stan is most beneficial

I don't feel like they are being written off, it's just that there is enough talent left in the rotation that the odds of success are still greatly in our favor. Just as long as the team goes in and takes it like a B1G game and not expect a cake walk

Every athlete, no matter the level or sport, faces adversity. Granted, this instance is nowhere near ideal for Hoosier Basketball this year, or any year to come as it puts a negative view on the program as a whole, it can still help this team in the long run. It sucks that the key players are missing key opportunities to get the program a great start at the beginning of the season, it supplies the young guys and minimal minute guys a chance to expand their game against good competition before the conference season opens up. These players originally wouldn't see much time at all, but this gives them the opportunity to better themselves outside of practice and show that they can play. And when the key players return, they have a bench that has real experience and they aren't just sending in guys "hoping" that they will do well under the pressure. It also allows the team to build their accountability given that Yogi discussed the lack of that aspect within the team. I know it sucks to see these guys not playing early, but there are positives that can be taken away from this setback that could seriously benefit the team as a whole heading into conference.

Take a second and look at UK. They won the national championship and the next year they lost 1st round in the NIT. Now, they are looking to make a run in the tournament. When you lose key players (for us: Hulls, Zeller, Oladipo, and Watford), you go into a rebuilding stage. This rebuild wasn't as drastic as when Crean was first hired, but that's what it is. You can't expect a national championship one year after losing all of those players as well as having the second least experienced team in the B1G. Crean made mistakes this year, but let's be honest: who doesn't? There are coaches all over the nation that make mistakes year in and year out. Firing Crean would only hurt the program at this point in time. If there are consecutive seasons without production then find another guy that can run the show, but for now, let Crean do his best to rebuild. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners

Turnovers really killed them. Cuse is good, but they were not a team the Hoosiers couldn't beat. It's just a matter of them being able to play under the pressure. They are a young team with a lot of time for improvement. I expect huge steps forward in the weeks to come. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners
