I definitely agree with you that he's a better player and wouldn't argue that there's a chance he plays over him, but I think there is more to Zeisloft playing than the numbers he puts up on the court. He has a specific role that Mcintosh wouldn't fit quite as well bc of how young he is. Now ask me who id rather have and I'll take Mcintosh any day bc of his potential and like you said Zeisloft not hitting 3s might as well be on the bench. But I think Zeisloft fits this team well bc he only has to shoot and lead when he's out there. Definitely not expected to defend or be a good passer bc I couldn't tell you the last time he did either well, but you can't be mad bc that's not his role even tho that just makes me mad bc that should be in everyone's role....

Why's that?
-
I don't think he would unless he played over Zeisloft. The only reason Stan is playing right now is bc he has defended the post better than anyone in the lineup that he typically plays with and McIntosh couldn't do that.

The holes in this roster are baffling

I've been to one of their games but can't remember the guy you're talking about......probably bc I was too busy watching Balentine lose his mind from 3. Took the game over in a matter of a minute. -
The one on Trimble looks intentional and makes you feel like the other two probably were as well. When a guy is dribbling at you, your first instinct is not to stick your hand out at his face, it's to go for the ball. The ball was at his waist and he reaches straight for his eyes....

High School basketball.......This is Indiana
HoosierD replied to Uwe Robb's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
As Uwe Robb said, Central is the 2nd best team in Evansville and this last Saturday Reitz won 117-74. All 5 starters scored at least 14. Sanford is their go to, but the ball doesn't stick in anyone's hands. Their press is the best I've seen at this level bc of their length and athleticism at every position. The only thing that worries me for Reitz in this game is the fact that they haven't been in a close one and haven't played a team the caliber of Southport, where as Southport plays a schedule full of good teams in Indy. -
Just saying what Crean said in his post game press conference.

Didn't play last night bc we went with a smaller lineups.

Potential coaching change suggestions
HoosierD replied to Bryan Medema's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
You're either overestimating Hanner or underestimating Luke, bc he would have been way better than Hanner. IMO he would have started for us eventually last year and would have made us a tourney team then. -

Played against him in HS and he played about as high level D2 as you can play. For these exhibition games he could be solid -

Yogi JBJ Z3 Hartman Hanner Off the bench in this order: Rob Burton MSB Ritchie -
Watched some of Wisconsin's exhibition game earlier and Nigel Hayes looked damn good. Hit a 3 and looked quick when he put it on the floor. Facing him the next 3 years is going to be rough. Don't like Wiscy but you have to respect what they do and how they do it.

Not that I could do any better but seems like he has said things and later contradicted himself just in these last few days. I've heard they were getting 3, then 4, then he said they should sit more than 4, then 3 bc exhibition only count as 1/2 games in his eyes, then today he said he thought 4 was the right amount.
-
I guess bc they are exhibition games they aren't seen as important enough to treat as a full game. Therefore those two games add up to 1 leaving 2 games left to sit which are the first 2 regular season games.

Sheesh...

Tried to dunk on Hanner in practice last week. I think that's pretty much all that was released on that. Didn't say what was injured or how long he's out.

Spalding wasn't really thought to be that good right now, it's the progress he has made in such a short time and his potential. Guarantee if you watched him right now he is way better than the last time you even watched him. -
But he had Cliff Alexander committed for about 1 second lol

I'm not blaming him for the accident. But he should not be drinking the night before a scrimmage. -

HoosierD replied to Bk4life's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
Bc they are out drinking the night before a public scrimmage that die hard fans look forward to attending and want to be rewarded by seeing a team that has been busting their ass and playing for the name on the front of the jersey. Instead we have a bunch of guys looking forward to partying and having fun. I agree that anything about Holt and being at fault in the accident is dumb, but the fact that he is getting behind the wheel after underage drinking the night before a scrimmage is the issue. -

Basically saying: -Indiana basketball stands for nothing. -Players have no respect for the program being out the night before a scrimmage. -Fans make excuses instead of expecting what should be expected. He's on point with everything so far. Hard to admit bc you don't want IU basketball to be like this but it's the truth.
