Does someone want to tell our guards it's okay to shoot something besides a three? There's this great thing called dribbling.

We're stuck with him for the rest of the year. The perfect time to make a move would have been after the UM game heading into the bye week. If I were CKW I'd be shaking the defensive staff up after the season before the focus of the heat shifted from the DC to me.

What worries me about NOLA is Jrue Holiday. Teams with quick point guards give the Pacers trouble. I know it's only game two of an 82 game season, but I think it's a big game.

I'm probably the least plugged in/ up to date guy on recruiting and I rarely have an opinion or idea where any of these kids will end up, but I have a feeling he's headed to B'town. It sure seems like the momentum is moving in that direction. Like Stuhoo said above, RJ, Max, JL would be a fine class. Even if it ends up just RJ and Max we'll be fine.

Tricky game tonight at NOLA. It's the second game of a back to back on the road against a plucky young team playing their home opener. Games like these are the kind that they'll have to win to have a shot at the top seed in the East.

1. NCAA team, preferably making a Sweet 16 run. I am saying this now and probably won't feel this way at the time, but with our youth I am not going to freak out if we lose in the second round, especially if we are something like a 6 seed and lose to a 3. How great would a deep run be to set up next year? 2. Top 5 B1G regular season. I think top 4 is doable, but once again we're young. Talented and young, but still young. (As a bonus I'd love to make it to Saturday of the B1G tournament.) 3. This is not necessarily measurable, but I want us to be at a place where the consensus among the fans and experts is that we are a better team in March than we are now in October. I want to be able to look at this team and see the improvement form game to game and month to month.

I'm watching, but not too close. I saw the live version online the other night so I'm not paying real close attention. After a 2nd watch I'm a little more hopeful about JH than I was.

Personally, I was always in favor of starting Lance and using Danny with the 2nd unit. At this point that might be too much to hope for though. Orlando Johnson and Solomon Hill are going to get the chance to stake their claim to that 10th rotation spot.

Granger is out for 3 weeks to start the season. I hope that if/when he comes back if they get off to a hot start with Lance in the starting lineup that Vogel leaves well enough alone and uses Granger off of the bench. Honestly, I'm starting to wonder how much Danny will be able to contribute this year due to injuries.

I second all the mentions to guys above, and I want to add one for Evan Gordon. Having such a young team, it's going to be nice to have a guy with some experience we can throw out there off of the bench. I was pleased with what he brought to the table tonight. I'm sure he'll improve too as he gets more comfortable as the year goes on.

You can see it there. That will make any early season lumps a lot easier to take knowing what this team can be. I really think it's going to be fun to watch this team improve game to game and month to month. I was just telling my wife that in some ways it looked like they got better from first half to second. I think we're in for a fun year.

JH has looked better late in the 2nd. I am glad to see that. Will has seemed more like himself as well. Looking ahead, I think I'd like to see this lineup to start the next one: Yogi Will Noah Troy HMP

I like what we've seen from Austin tonight. HMP looks improved. Still not all B1G, but he's looking like he can contribute and be a guy I don't cringe when I see him check in.

JH worries me some...

I think the common feeling among fans was that Will, Yogi, and Noah would start all year and that the other two spots were up for grabs. I think Troy has grabbed one with a choke hold.

Fishcher just said Devin is hurt too and how much he will play is questionable.

Before the season, I thought Minny was a sure W, now I'm not so sure.

We get a few MVC games with Directv and I always will cheer for Evansville and Indiana St. if they are on. Neither are a real threat to IU so I don't have a problem with them. In all reality the only Indiana school I can't pull for is PUke.

Cleaning up the physical play is a must imo. Too much physical play has hurt the game, see Wisconsin. I have no problem with widening the lane and extending the 3 point line. NO HALF COURT THROW INS! Leave the 20 minute halves and shot clock alone. Hiring officials instead of contractors is one I'm neutral on.

I'm looking forward to this. I have to admit I have no idea what I am doing, that's why I will probably win.

I'm not disagreeing with you because I think this is true, but I'm pretty sure at this point last year a lot of us (I was guilty of it too) were thumping our chests about how deep we would be and that didn't turn out quite like we had hoped. Because of that, I am taking a more cautious approach to our depth this year.
