Some folks I know through my wife's family from Baton Rouge seem to think PUke is where Les Miles ends up. I don't think they realize PUke won't be able to afford him. I will watch anything during the Olympics. The more odd and random the better. I also yell at the television about sports I am clueless on. I become an expert every four years on whether lands were stuck properly or dives created too much splash. Speaking of diving, this woman who does color for the diving is in that upper echelon of annoying announcers.

That commercial has been the highlight of the Olympic Opening Ceremonies thus far.

My first IU fb game was an MSU game as well. Mine was 1987. MSU went to the Rose Bowl that year. I believe that game clinched it. I was so young and that has been so long ago, but I think a win would have kept our Rose Bowl hopes alive. We got drilled that game. On the first play from scrimmage MSU ran a reverse for a big gain and my dad and I simultaneously gave each other the, "We're screwed look." The most memorable thing though was the weather. It was COLD. There was freezing rain with lightening. It was a 3:30 ABC game and it was already dark at about 3:45. Sorry for the ramble down memory lane. I'm itching to kick this year off . I can't wait to hear Don Fischer's voice grace my radio for pre game heralding e arrival of fall.

I should leave this up at work all day and accomplish nothing like I do the live feed from IMS every May.

Well I did grow up believing the world revolves around me. Back to college basketball, Monday is my first day back at work for the year (I teach) and that begins my earnest countdown to fall break which is the beginning of practice. I start to really get anxious to get the season rolling this time every year. Fall break is also when my wife is due to give birth to our 2nd child making our first no longer an only like me.
