  The remote control is going to be getting a work out about 8:30.  This next four day stretch for the Pacers is insane.     Back on topic, I think we will smash them.  

Cal has won one NC with this "super freshman class" approach to recruiting and he had some seasoned guys on that team that helped push them over the top.  This philosophy garners a lot of publicity but the results usually don't match the hype.     A little OT, but let me throw this out there.  If Cal falls short of winning a NC this year under this philosophy again (or even if he wins #2 God forbid), does he go to the NBA to be the new head coach somewhere for his BFF Lebron next year? 

I hope they play angry and with and edge.  

  I could see if Mallory is kept on, which I'm record as saying I think will happen, that the "logic" behind it is that we were still too young and lacking talent to be better and that more talent and more experience will fix our problems.  We had all better hope and pray that is accurate because I believe that is the path we are heading down.     I want Mallory gone too, but I'm starting to gear my thoughts regarding him toward, "let's hope he can figure this out," as opposed to "let's hope he gets fired," because I just don't see that happening. 

  Better yet hand him a headset and a clipboard and make him the new DC. 

  I have been and for the moment still am a big supporter of CKW.  I do believe Mallory has to go.  Having said all of that, if CKW sticks with Mallory and doesn't try to improve things by making a move then he is staking his future as IU's coach on Mallory's ability to improve the defense.  If I were Fred Glass, I'd be making that point abundantly clear to him.  

Not nearly athletic enough to handle a zone.

1.  Limit turnovers - we can't be chasing them in transition D all night and giving up easy transition baskets   2.  No off nights from anyone - Noah has to be the Noah of every game but UConn, Troy has to be the Troy of the Washington game, etc.   3.  Our calling card thus far has been rebounding, and it's going to have to be again on Tuesday night.  Don't give them multiple opportunities per possession to score.  Also we need to keep getting second chance points.  

First of all, I believe Mallory SHOULD be fired.  Our defense started the year terrible and got worse as the year went on.  There is no excuse to bring him back.     However, I have a sick feeling in the pit of my stomach that he's coming back.  Every second that ticks off of the clock without an announcement or even a rumor from a credible source, makes me more and more certain that is what is going to happen.  

Remember how we used to track airplanes during coaching searches?  I think we should track moving vans around the Mallory home.

  I just told my wife who is rocking our nine month old son, that he'll be watching replays of that when he is older and we'll tell him how we saw it live.
